I'm having a challenge understanding why when Raylan pulls his pistol, it sounds (clicking), like he pulls the hammer back. However, Raylan carries a Glock striker fired pistol. There is no hammer. I guess the sound is for effect.
Could be that. could be its not the gun that's clicking. Could be the popper on the top strap smacking against the side of the holster. or it could be the safety.
They ALWAYS put "action" noises in, post production. Things like cars starting, keys jingling, chess pieces being moved on the board, hammers being cocked are never "played" as they were recorded by the microphone just behind the camera. This is because people have had their ideas of what is possible to hear, and possible to record BEING heard, changed by previous film and tv sound recordings and inserts. For one thing, when there are guns going off close to you, your ability to hear or even notice smaller sounds mostly vanishes for a while, but they can't do that in a film, obviously. They still need to portray everything as if being heard from close to, by perfect ears that are not ringing. So, they are used to adding certain noises, and AUDIENCES are used to hearing them, so they just get added even if they were never there.
When Raylan draws his Glock, and they make the clicking noise like he's flipping a safety off, or cocking it or something, it always ruins a perfectly good scene...
Glocks don't have a manual safety that can be flipped off. The only exception being one custom installed, which law enforcement would never do. Also the only way to cock a Glock is by racking the slide. That's not going to be the way a cop would carry. He would be carrying a pre-cocked gun with a round already in the chamber.
Yeah, because if there's one thing a drug dealer is concerned with, it's trying to sue in a court of law to enforce a contract involving the sale of drugs. It's like trying to get someone arrested for stealing your cocaine and asking the police to get it back for you.

Justified is in the running for best show of all time. Easy top five.
Season five had its issues, but Jay & Rocco killed it in every scene they had.
Season 5 had some of the best episodes in the series. The overall story just wasn't as good as season 2 or season 4.
@@trueblue6201 it definitely started out strong, but it felt like we got stuck in certain places for too long.
@dutyaccountabilitymediasometimes it’s good to play them away games
I was never aware that people thought season 5 was weak. I never thought so ever.
Maybe the best TV series ever. At least after the glory days.
“You gonna make me do the paperwork” such a boss ass line
Hot Rod was a drummer, he played with Bob Dylan in his tour of Europe in the sixties when he started to play electric.
I remember him on "Home Improvement"
Was also the drummer in Kenny Rogers and the First Edition, played on one of the best psych-rock singles ever which, ironically enough, is anti-drug hahahaha
"Gonna make me do the paperwork?"
God Raylan is funny.
oddly, although this was my favorite tv series ever....I don't remember this scene. Oh well, I'll just have to watch it all over again.
You mean you’ve only watched it once!
Damn, I miss this show. 😢
There is a new one Justified: City Primeval
“You was gonna be in this hole either way” 🥶🥶🥶
That’s Avon Barksdale. Have some respect.
“You gone make me do the paperwork?” 🤣
Longest video ive watched where he didnt shoot someone
The showdown with Hotrod was classic: a little disappointed you edited past it...
Boy just had to learn everything the hard way.

Yeah you'll find that happens in a lot of TV/film

You missed the classic line to hotrod - something like ‘you went into business with kids, what did you expect?’
Avon Barksdale!!
and his new partner is an incredible lawyer!
@@dogkungfu8510 The two actors are actually brothers.
@@trueblue6201 didn't know that! I was referencing his time on the lawyer show, The Practice.
Loretta doesn't have an ounce of loyalty in her. Wouldn't have felt bad if she got totally changed.
That's kinda harsh. Loretta has all kinds of loyalty....to Loretta.
She's loyal to her father and Raylan.
Homeboy hit me with a shovel! 😂😂😂😂
Avon can’t catch a break
The game is the game...always.
Left out the best part where he advised Hot Rod of his options and it would all be legal
I Bodenstabed the Marshal but I did not Bodenstab the Deputy

Avon and Eugene!

@Duty and Accountability Media I have not seen that show in so long but I was just talking about it the other day.
