Basically the same sport. Only the stages are way shorter, Cars and engines are more reliable, suspension and tires superior to for instance what the Group B had.
@@0xym0re82 Because rally Monza marked the end of the WRC era (1997-2021). The FIA announced earlier this year the new generation of rally cars for 2022. Those are the Rally1 cars and they are hybrid
@@maxencec172 and what's wrong with a hybrid? they have to become a hybrids because it will attract more manufacturer and if it wont, this series will die.
Ending the World Rally Championship's longest-standing era at one of the most historically-significant motor racing venues was honestly a great way for the World Rally Cars to bow out.
Great compilation but wish there was footage of Ogier and Evans charging through morning fog in the early Friday stages.I would be scared to go 45kph on those roads with near zero visibility but they were going 160kph.
The only thing I have disliked about this era (besides a lack of manufacturers) is the fact that they are all "funny cars" at this point. You can buy a body kit to make any old Subaru GC8 into a WRC car (visually at least), same with the mitsubishis, and in general previous generations of rally cars have been so much easier to make yourself. But these cars have so much tech in them, so much un-shared knowledge that the average person will never see them again. Theres no chance for someone with passion and a bit of money to make one of these, yet give that guy a subaru and he can have a rally machine in a few months. It's just a shame that these cars share literally nothing with their roadgoing counterparts. At least the GR Yaris is AWD on the road going version.
is it me, or are these drivers more aggressive than the generation of mcrea kankunnen saints??? must be all them racing game they played, it clearly shows :D
the fact that rally has never truly changed is why it will always be my favorite sport

The end of a fantastic era. What a final, we couldn't ask for a better way to finish. I hope the next gen will be as good as WRC cars
What are you talking about please 😂 I'm lost

@@maxencec172 still better than fully electrics, imagine how boring it would be

Love watching the weight transfer while braking
The Beat rally ever
Excited to see a new era of Rally. Next gen cars seem very legit and I am all for it.
Some of the videography is just stellar
Superb summary with the original sounds, without the often superfluous and omnipresent comments
Probably my favorite rally of all time
Love they still are using the banked sections if that awesome track.

So often, I am disappointed by a thumbnail having nothing to do with a video. NOT this TIME! 😳😃👍🤙

But you don’t need those high tech stuff to rally you see lots of normal cars rallying

Some people just have a death wish. Idiot walking along the road outside of the guardrail at the beg. Crazy.
