    My journey of 5 years long disgusting acne was finished with Tretinoin 0.5 topical ointment. Yes , Tretinoin is the best treatment out there. Moreover,it was Dr. Iddrisss who introduced me with Tretinoin. Love you doctor 💝

    Great information. A follow up video or part 2 of how you can use these together would be helpful! Assuming you need to cycle with some of them or apply particular ones in the morning and at night etc.

      @IngerNordahl ปีที่แล้ว +14

      I use the PanOxyl every morning for a couple minutes and then wash off. I use tretinoin every night (but you have to work up to that.) I use the BHA once a week and also exfoliate a couple other times during the week with an AHA. I use the Azelaic Acid every night. Paula's choice is better than The Ordinary, but I haven't tried Peach Slices yet. It's cheaper than PC, so I'll try it next.

    • @onewhitewolf13
      @onewhitewolf13 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@IngerNordahl Hello 😊 would you be able to share a few things regarding your routine? What strength panoxyl do you use? What order do you apply your azelaic acid and tret? Also what night moisturiser do you use? Sorry for all the questions!

    • @IngerNordahl
      @IngerNordahl ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @onewhitewolf13 I was using the equate (Walmart brand) version of panoxyl but they changed the formula to add an abrasive grit, so now I'm using the brand name stuff. Both are 10%. I just leave it on while I'm brushing my teeth in the am and then wash it off. It's been a game change for my breakouts though. I like Paula's Choice azaleic acid which I add to my nighttime moisturizer, which is Aveeno calm and restore oat gel moisturizer. I start my night with Cerave Pm moisturizer and then I apply my prescription tret (0.5%). I'm up to 3 nights a week applying my tret without the cerave pm moisturizer first. For my neck, I use an Olay retinol (purple 2 pack from costco). I don't apply the azaleic acid/moisturizer until after I've brushed my teeth and flossed, giving my tret a bit of time to soak in. Hope this helps.

    A great sulfur product if you're willing to spend the money is the Sulfur Clay mask from Peter Thomas Roth. A lot of people might not like it because it's fragranced however it's a very medical fragrance smell and it does NOT smell like sulfur which is a huge bonus. In my experience you only get a whiff of the sulfur smell once you start washing it off with water. Until then though I've left it on my skin for hours with absolutely no terrible rotten egg smell.

    Thanks so much Dr Idriss. You have just save my skin!. I'm 50 years old and have never suffer with acne as a teenager, or as an adult, but 2 weeks ago i tried different, face wash and creams, different laundry soap and new supplements, all at the same time!, so something obviously didn't agree with my skin and i had my face absolutely on fire, covered in very sore red spots, and a couple of white heads, even to wash my face was painful... So i bought your recommended Avenno Calm and restore face wash and the moisturizing gel which helped so much to do exactly that!. Also swapped my garnier micellar water for the Bioderma micellar water (what a difference!) 😱 So now that my face is more calm, i'm treating some stubborn red marks with 4% b.peroxide, and i'm also using the Cicatricure which my skin is loving so much too. I also bought the Preparation H cream just in case the spots come back!🤭. After the summer holiday i'll start with the A313 cream on my new retinol journey. I still don't know what cause the rash/spots/acne whatever it was and just hoping it won't come back. But thanks to you, if it does, at least i'm prepared to tackle it with the wright products. Thanks again. Your knowledge is so impressive. So is your beauty.🌹

    How do I choose products if I’m almost 40, seeing signs of aging skin, and still have acne? I’ve been using adapalene .1% for acne for awhile (several years), but I’m not thrilled with the acne results and it’s done nothing for aging. I recently started adding 2% salicylic acid on my non-adapalene days and the acne has gotten a bit better, but it’s not quite enough. And still nothing happening with the aging.
    My gut says switch to The Ordinary retinol & alternate that with 2% salicylic acid. I can’t tolerate niacinamide except around my eyes. Everywhere else gives me the worst breakouts.
    If anyones bern through this, please let me know your experience.

She has me on tretinoin, moisturizer and gentle cleanser at night, and a benzoyl peroxide wash and clyndamicine (sp) in the day. I feel like the benzoyl is making my blackheads worse somehow? Like the gunk in my pores is oxidizing more. I've had acne and oily skin for 23 or more years and I swear nothing has helped but oral doxycycline, which I was told you can't take all the time. I've accepted acne at this point, but nearing 40 the huge pores and blackheads definitely make me feel worse about myself. I just want smoother texture and clarity

    Which retinol product would be good for acne and wrinkles? I just bought Differin for the hormonal acne i still get around my jawline but would also like a product I can benefit from for all over the face.

    If we shouldn’t use retinol around our mouths, how do we treat the breakouts there? Most of my acne is hormonal, around my mouth and on my chin and jawline.

    Thank you so much for this video, so intresening and informative. Can you build up a resistance for vitamin A? Do you need to step up the strength with time?

    Hii Shereen 🥰
    I was wondering if you might ship your products to Scandinavia in the future? I live in Sweden & I would love to be able to buy your vitamin C serum and other. I really appreciate you and everything you do. Thank you for helping to educate!

    My dermatica retinol complex is the only thing that clears my acne plus I took oral accutane so Vitamin A has been my saviour. I'm lucky I live in the UK as we have free healthcare so that too has helped to clear everything for me

    Hello! Brazilian la roche posay has a 'High Tolerance' effaclar cleansing gel with an ingredient called caprylyl glycol. I've never seen anyone talking about it.
    It doesnt seem to have sal acid or other ingredients I usually associate with effaclar. Can you talk a bit about how it works?

    Hello Dr. Idriss, I appreciate you sharing your knowledge and expertise. I am 62 years young and still have a very oily Tzone. As a tried and true 'pimple popper' most of my life, I have enlarged pores on and beside my nose. I use all the Major Fade products, Pan Oxyl 2x/week, Finacea 15% 2x /week and have just started using Neutrogena Oil Free Acne wash once a day. Even with my anti acne regime and stopping to squeeze out the excess sebum and blackheads - they are still there and don't diminish in size. Is there something else I should or shouldn't do? Is it because my pores are enlarged that they keep filling up? Thank you

      Maybe need to test for h pylori, one bacteria stays in your stomach (even though you maybe don't have stomach symptoms like stomach pain, reflux, gerd etc). If so, this could be the cause of your acne and blackheads. And solution is 2-3 weeks of antibiotics. Then your pores would be all cleared up.

    Love your informative content . Could you comment on the recent decision of the EU to limit retinol concentration in all products to 0.3% . You think it’s justified ? Is it enough for efficiency ?
