Thanks for focus on black sand towards the end. I am about 10 days in on this adventure. I panned some beginner and some Krums. Recovered the gold, individual packs, then put in all together, put all the gold back in, and did it again for practice. I was fighting that fine black sand at the end. One more thing. Just keep stratifying with the black sand. Actually...stratifying constantly is critical. The back pan klesh shows near the end with the pyrite can be used for black sands too.

Black sand helps me pan- I watch the black sand as it travels up my riffles- when it gets half way up I know it's time to reclassify. That is why personally I do not use black pans. Great video as usual.
I like seeing the black sand. I dont mind panning it either. I prefer the blue pans. Maybe its a different black sand where i am as ive never found it hard to pan.

What is great about black sand is I can concentrate a 5 gallon bucket of dirt really fast. I fill the pan and classify as normal- I pan like crazy until I start seeing black sand, slow down a little. Once about 80% of the dirt is black sand I throw that in a con bucket. I can pan a 5 gallon bucket down in about 5 minutes.

I totally agree, some things look like gold that are not gold, put then next to gold and it's a big difference. Another way I tell is gold looks the pretty much the same at any angle, pyrite has angles that make it look like gold at some angles but move it a little and it changes.
Simple rule. It if glitters it ISNT gold. Gold glows. Light or shade. Doesnt matter. It glows. It doesnt want to move when the water is swirled over it. And when it does its clearly not happy.

I need to collect a bag of dirt from the area of Scotland I walk, and sent it to you. The land owner knows the stream/riverbed has gold, but not enough to care about. Cool for panning though.

Ya the same comment from me also. Not many vendors left that are reasonable. Last bag I got, I ended up picking up from France. Gtd 1.1 in red paydirt. Shipping costs from anywhere else in the world just sours the experience.

It's a very common suggestion I get for my videos, but it would be a waste of the viewers time, which I don't like doing. The answer (probably biased but I 100% am being honest) would of course be the Paydirts I make and sell on kleshgold.com. The entire reason I even started making it was to take all the good parts of Paydirts I've done in my experience and refine it to a perfect line of products, giving the highest average ROI, always adding over the guaranteed minimum amounts of gold to every bag, and having different levels of challenges for all skill levels of gold panning. Sounds like a sales pitch, but it's not, it's just really difficult to find something wrong with them since they've all been refined (and will continue to be refined) if I find anything I even slightly dislike. Hope this helps answer your question!

Do you ever find your pan warping from the heat gun? My dad and I were panning a bag of your “Krums” a few weeks ago and he used the heat gun and had to back off after a little due to the pan getting really hot.
You sent me his way a couple of years ago, as he was also selling your bags in the uk. I ended up getting a couple of your bags and plenty of his, over time. It’s a shame he’s gone out of business. If you know of any good paydirt sellers in the uk, please let me know
