There are two basic positions in skateboard: regular and goofy. The first one(night) consists in putting the left foot in the middle of the board and the right foot in the back, assist the opposite. Every skater has his position of preference, the choice being instinctive. To be goofy or to regular often is as to be left-handed or right-handed(right-wing) but many left-handed skaters are to regular and conversely. There are also several manners to push the board, push it mongo mean growing by keeping(guarding) the back foot on the board, this way of growing can be uncomfortable, generally we grow with the back foot by leaving the foot before on the board. To increase the difficulty of a face(figure), we can make him(it) there " switch ". To be switch means that we position to regular when one We often specify the direction of rotation of the skateboarder or its skateboard, either the side with which we approach the obstacle by the prefix frontside or backside (shortened in forehead(front) and back or FS and BS). For a rotation we specify if we turn the back in the first one or the trunk, because the right or left sense(direction) does not take into account the initial position of feet on the board during the launch of the trick. For example: a regular realizing a rotation towards the right makes a backside 180, while a goofy would make a frontside 180. BUT WARNING ^^ >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> For a FUCKING slide, we say back if the obstacle in slider (bench, rail, bannister) is situated " in the back " (back in English) by the skateboarder and the forehead(front) if the obstacle is "front" (forehead(front) in English) the skateboarder.
this info is partially wrong for the side of slides, you gotta understand this there are four stances: regular, nollie, switch and fakie (regular means natural, both regular and goofy) on regular and nollie, you are riding forward on you natural side on switch, you are still riding forward on your "unnatural" side but for fakie, you are riding backwards in relative to your natural side, when you do a slide/grind/turn trick, you name it from your regular stances perspective, in this case, this trick is the same position if he were on regular bs tail
Best way to explain this. Fakie means you are riding backwards or in reverse. So your tail is now in front of you in the direction of travel. He's still approching frontside and popping off his tail. It's a fakie frontside tail. Think of it like this. If you back up a car is the trunk now the hood, no it's just in reverse. People call it a fakie bs tail because of how it looks once you lock in the trick but it's wrong.
Microphone Don I think this must be correct based on the rules other things go by. Board spins into the rail toe-side so it's frontside and the guy is riding backwards / fakie so it's a tail slide. We're going to code it into our game this way...
oh i think i was wrong, i mean "i dont get why its backside", because as you said, the rail/ledge is on front, so it doesnt make sense why its backside
I think because with fakie its always the called the same as if it was reg. A fakie fs flip turns bs and a fakie bs flip or half cab flip turns fs. Its just an old skateboarding rule.
I understand your argument, but I disagree, because ON A SLIDE AND GRIND TRICKS, what really matters is where is that going to be slid, if from the front or back, and this should be the decisive criterion for call a trick "bs" o "fs". What matters is not whether the jump is rotated to the back, or front; nor if you are going to fakie, nollie or normal (this only in relation to the slide tricks). A think that always is that the critrion, regardless of whether it is of fakie, normal or nollie.
well hes coming at the ledge with his chest facing the ledge- life if he was gonna do a frontboard his chest would be facing the rail. but like he said its basically just like fakie ollieing into a backtail
But it’s fakie so when he slides it’s as if he’s doing a backside tailslide. It’s relevant to his stance. The name of the trick is broken down into portions. First he does a fakie Ollie, then he does a backside tailslide.
That fakie backside tailsilde Is not actually backside, its frontside tailside! Becose the box is on his front, and that fact is the mind when you call a trick like BS or FS. Am I clear? If the box is on his front, so is frontside (tailsilde, in this case). Sorry about my terrible english, i am argentinian skateboarding historian. I hope than you can anderstand me.
I've never seen so many incorrect comments on a video. Fakie slides are named relative to your regular stance, so you think of this as a fakie ollie into a backside tailslide in your normal stance. A fakie frontside tailslide is a fakie ollie into a frontside tailslide in your normal stance.
front foot is nose slide and back foot doing the sliding is a tailslide keeping up? so despite that he is fakie his front foot lands and does the sliding so it's a fakie Ollie to front nose (switch front nose ) a fakie switch back tail would be if your back foot does the sliding so pretend a ledge is behind you and you fakie cab so that your back foot goes into a switch back tail. or fakie cab the ithers way and you would land into fakie regular tailslide. always remeber front foot does the sliding it's a nose slide and back foot doing the sliding it's a tailslide despite what stance your in
Jordan Belcher its a fakie backtail because he fakie and doing a backtail. he is sliding on his tail with his back foot because hes fakie. its a back tail that is fakie
Elston Gunn you would slide the same way doing a nose slide if you didn't pop it fakie, therefore since you would be sliding the same way as doing a noseslide that's what it is, he simply Ollie into it fakie.
think about it he is riding up to the ledge with his front facing the ledge therefore it would be frontside slide not backside it's a fakie frontside noseslide
Jordan Belcher could be man. i always called it a backtail...been skating along time. people can call it what ever they want i guess... theberrics.com/trickipedia-fakie-backside-tailslide/#sm.00012v1vbf8fgefmwrl1gzhn2zdm6
It is fakie back tail. When you do something fakie you are doing the regular trick in reverse. So fakie ollie into a switch front nose (above video) turns front to back and nose to tail, thus fakie back tail.
as a skateboard historian, you should know that this is considered backside when you're going fakie, because from your regular point of view you would be doing a bs tailslide, but like he said, it's basically a "switch nollie front nose" but no one calls it that..
But it's fakie..? God these switch nollie halfcab 180 arguments get trite. It's called fakie for a reason, it's faking regular. You're sliding back tail, so it's backtail.

I really dont get why its frontside... its not because you are sliding backwards, because a front board its front because the rail/ledge is front and you are sliding backwards you dont even do the same motion you do in a regular back tail... its obviously not switch cause you are riding fakie... whaaaat...
+Arno Theadorno he is right it's a fakie front nose. why? because his front is facing the coping just like skating normal then does a fakie Ollie and lands in front nose slide. nose slide is your front foot doing the sliding while tail slide is your back foot doing the sliding. Therefore his front foot is doing the sliding so it's a nose slide doesn't matter that he Ollie fakie. make sense? a fakie back tail would be your back to some coping and you pop fakie cab and your your back foot goes into switch back tail
+Jordan Belcher there was no half cab done here, just a fakie pop to switch front noseslide. pretend he didn't pop it fakie but switch then it would we a switch to front nose slide. and it's the exact same trick except he popped it fakie (no half cab was done) and the front foot did the sliding so it's a nose slide end of story
If anything you’d say “fakie Ollie to switch frontside noseslide”. That would still technically be correct. But it’s still a fakie frontside tailslide.

Thank you very much.
this info is partially wrong
for the side of slides, you gotta understand this

its the side u approche the ledge or rail
just got this trick today!! hyped!!!
This is my favourite trick to do scary at first but once you're locked it's beautiful
it depends on your position to the rail or curb - otherwise there wouldnt be a front or backside 50-50
Been thinking abought this one for awhile now really want to get them good enough were I can big spin out
did you ever land it
What a cool looking trick

+Microphone Don some one else who understands, this stuff drives me crazy
+Josh Double it's a fakie to switch front noseslide.
Front foot does the sliding it's a noseslide not a tailslide
jus cuz ur riding on your nose doesnt make it your tail.
thats fakie front tail

@@bonksmusic1 It all depends which your body is facing really
@@KableMate so do you think this is frontside or backside?
@@bonksmusic1 it’s frontside
@@KableMate backtail
in that case its a frontside fakie ollie to backside tailslide its not a front tail
Noup, the front or back is you see de spot not your twist or slide, that is fakie FRONT tail
great vid
im leaning further toward frontside though
it is fs
his front is facing the ledge, therefore it's frontside, ya dingus
I call these fakie front tails.
Crazy
thats not how it works. explain front blunts/boards/noseslides then.
switch nollie front nose
fakie ollie + switch front noseslide = fakie front nose dude
That fakie backside tailsilde Is not actually backside, its frontside tailside! Becose the box is on his front, and that fact is the mind when you call a trick like BS or FS. Am I clear? type in "fakie backside tailsilde" then type what you think it's called. I will bet you wil not find what you're looking for...anywhere.
I want to fakie heel into this
Dammit I was looking for frontside
swag
ye i thought that
I am from Houston but posting these is not going to get them recognized...
1:51 "fly backwards, OR GET INTO A LIP" ...
into lip???...i dunno how that would be even possible, nor do i wish to think about that lurking disaster
its frontside. i searched for backside.
wrong
is my easy in nollie formy jeej : )
techincally your right but, what they're trying to say is that you fakie ollie and land on a back tail i guess...
fakie switch is nollie
Isn’t this a fakie front nose?
ya i know its messed up
this is like the only trick where both fs/bs arguments make sense. wow i thought i had all that shit together
fakie switch? yeah right einstein.
this kinda stuff about naming tricks hurts my head, like i know the names but working this crap out is a ball ache
It would be a switch front nose then... and you are still wrong
Heu
thats where the fakie switch front nose comes in
I've never seen so many incorrect comments on a video. Fakie slides are named relative to your regular stance, so you think of this as a fakie ollie into a backside tailslide in your normal stance. A fakie frontside tailslide is a fakie ollie into a frontside tailslide in your normal stance.

It's a bs tailslide with a fakie approach. The title is correct.
Sounds like you people trying to learn what it's called.. not how to learn the trick..
Fakie frontside tail slide😅
No because your front is facking the ledge. It's a fakie ollie switch front nose, or fakie front tail
Thats fakie front nose
Fakie front tail*
no
at least i didnt say first
his front is facing the ledge.
clearly backside
I thought this trick was called fakie f/s noseslide
Facing not facking
Nah b
Fakie front, regular back.
But it's fakie..? God these switch nollie halfcab 180 arguments get trite. It's called fakie for a reason, it's faking regular. You're sliding back tail, so it's backtail.
I'm pretty sure that this is a fakie frontside noseslide. Just don't make sense a Nollie Frontside Noseslide to have this name and Fakie be different.
U pretty sure ???? hahaha !!!
listen that skateboarder noobi !
We often specify the direction of rotation of the skateboarder or its skateboard, either the side with which we approach the obstacle by the prefix frontside or backside (shortened in forehead(front) and back or FS and BS).
For a rotation we specify if we turn the back in the first one or the trunk, because the right or left sense(direction) does not take into account the initial position of feet on the board during the launch of the trick. For example: a regular realizing a rotation towards the right makes a backside 180, while a goofy would make a frontside 180.
For a slide, we say back if the obstacle in slider (bench, rail, bannister) is situated " in the back " (back in English) by the skateboarder and the forehead(front) if the obstacle is "front" (forehead(front) in English) the skateboarder.
i am the 316 view
No, fakie front nose would look like a nollie back tail.
why on every video are there people arguing about what the trick is
when its fakie a tail slide is on your nose....nice job
This has to be the worst explanation ever lol.
For Fakie it does not matter. You are fakie ollieing into a back tail. Fakie back tail. Watch more videos about it and learn from that.
No, Imagine doing back tail and then fakie ollie into it and you get this. It is just this way for fakie.
Ehh, noo ! it's a switch FRONT nose ! look it up and you'll get it...
it's a back tail because you're fakie ollieing into a back tail
I really dont get why its frontside...
its not because you are sliding backwards, because a front board its front because the rail/ledge is front and you are sliding backwards
you dont even do the same motion you do in a regular back tail...
its obviously not switch cause you are riding fakie...
whaaaat...
MOUNTAIN DEW SUCKS
Fakie back tail
he gets into a b/s tailslide...
yeah but he is grinding backside
you dontevenskate...how do you know.
did i say he was wrong?
can’t tell
No, its backside...
yes this is true for all grind tricks but he is blind the whole slide. think of all the tailslides and lipslides.
Its backside... Nollie and fakie spins are reversed. Backside is spinning towards your blindside. So theyre right.
No it is not! It is back tail! Look it up.
ive always thought this was called fakie switch front nnose. but who cares
Fackie front noseslide .end of story.
not really, buddy, a fakie noseslide is generally called a half cab noseslide, and is a different trick altogether.
+Arno Theadorno he is right it's a fakie front nose. why? because his front is facing the coping just like skating normal then does a fakie Ollie and lands in front nose slide.
nose slide is your front foot doing the sliding while tail slide is your back foot doing the sliding. Therefore his front foot is doing the sliding so it's a nose slide doesn't matter that he Ollie fakie.
make sense? a fakie back tail would be your back to some coping and you pop fakie cab and your your back foot goes into switch back tail
no
+Jordan Belcher there was no half cab done here, just a fakie pop to switch front noseslide.
pretend he didn't pop it fakie but switch then it would we a switch to front nose slide.
and it's the exact same trick except he popped it fakie (no half cab was done) and the front foot did the sliding so it's a nose slide end of story
If anything you’d say “fakie Ollie to switch frontside noseslide”. That would still technically be correct. But it’s still a fakie frontside tailslide.
its back because he is bling the whole slide just like a regular bs tail
It doesn't matter for fakie, it is fakie back tail.
yep, fakie fs noseslide...
it's wrong, no is a tailslide, it's a Noseslide !
Its bs either way people thats all
Its backside because he's sliding backwards.
