The gameplay isn't the thing about it. Truly it is story and Hero mode. Hero mode, you dress up a Saiyan and fight through missions and get stronger over time. You gain more power and more special attacks based on if your Hero type is. Standard, Small or Heavy. The story mode is EXCITING. People always say BT3 is better. I just watched the BT3 Goku vs Frieza and this is way better. While your playing the story you get an exciting thrill and spark. You say how it lacks freedom but try it out.
9:11 I pointed out that that cutscenes in this game has to be missing; Frieza uses a double Destructo Discs on Goku. Then Goku himself Dodge it after these 2 Destructo Discs follows him, Goku flies behind Frieza then these 2 Destructo Discs cut Frieza in half. I kinda noticed that Frieza doesn't have his body cut in half in this game.
The gameplay has no problem. Except the annoying lack of freedom. Other than that I seriously consider playing when you get the chance. It is more fun than you think.

I prefer Dbz Budokai over that Scene Because Goku in that Game Just Beats Frieza to the Point of Him Not even Moving .
