I got one for Christmas, great battery life. Mine was blue, my brother’s was red. Bought from Dixon’s, I remember going in there with my Dad to buy it.
I bought one from Dixon's (UK) in 1985,I think it was around £16 new,it finally bit the dust 17 years later and somehow I managed to lose the battery cover,Doh!
The reason you see so many listings with a missing battery cover is because the little catch on it - the thing that snaps into the main body to hold it in place - is incredibly fragile.
The only decent portable recorders from Sony are the professionals namely the WM-D6C because of its ability to re ord in dolby c. There's no way around it, and you will have to pay more than $100 for good cassettes in numbers of 5 to 10. Vinyl and cassette need budgets of around $1000 to make it worthwhile to you
I just got a boxed one in an auction for £110 plus commission+postage which came to £150 The auction house didn’t mention if it works but it looks to be in mint physical condition, headphone pads crumbling though sadly but pretty much expected
my WM-22 i got worked fine untill today the tape got like clogged up and now the FF and Rewind work but when i press play it makes a very high pitched noise and the pin thats supposed to spin the tape doesnt move
i'm about 2 years too late to comment this but the reason the information label says wm-11/22 is because this model was sold as 'wm-11' in the us and 'wm-22' in the eu. don't know why they had two different names but there you go

It was a great walkman. Simple but very good quality. The only compromise was the size, a little cumbersome but still much acceptable.
Do you possibly have any recommendations for a walkman that is portable, records audio, and is under $100 (around 77 pounds).

Pretty sure this is the same model used by Star lord in the Tell Tale guardians of the galaxy video game

Just saying some of your viewers are children so they may be late for these videos. I’m technically a teen so there you go!
The demo tape u had is not pour oper for the wm22, coz it's Dolby recorded, but the wm22 does not have Dolby.
got one without the strap for 45 pounds
