Looking good. Yup, undead like the negative. My measly PMaster had many issues with undead and also had to resort to other, less satisfying, means. After discovering House P buffs quite by accident while on a trial build, I probably over use them. The glue is an excellent cc but you are seeing that your offence reduces the need for cc in some instances. Yes, disappearing mobs is a bane for casters. All in all, I am impressed with your toons capabilities. Thanks for the sharing.
Yes, nice to have a plan B for situations where your main attack is rendered useless, as vs undead with the inflict wounds we are using. The CC possibly being overkill is a recurring theme with me it seems - you folks are quite right, i could potentially save quite some mana by opening with the damaging aoe rather than constantly attempting to CC.
I always go with poison spec after 12 simply because every other element is a reflex save while poison is fortitude. Yes, tons of monsters resist or are just straight immune to it, but evasion only works against things that require a reflex save and since alche has less built in DCs (unless its apothecary) so ignoring evasion is one more problem dealth with. Plus... in epics I prefer using evergreen and the primal epic strike is a great way to strip reapers their immunities of. DO NOT forget that alchemists upcast potions they drink. By the time you're level 5 and can use 20 resist potions alchemists will upcast 10 resists to work like a 20. and iirc at level 8 or 11 they can use 20 resist potions to give 30. The reason it gets a lower amount of resist from the elemental skin buff is because that works on top of the regular resist energy spell. I usually buy a stack of 20 to 30 of those potions in the ship/catacombs vendor/evening star and not worry about resistances anymore. Just use them reactively or if you know something will need a lot of resists. And of course you're talking about said resists a few minutes after i say this. Hope you get that fall's decay ring. It's great for a lot of characters like EK or Blightcaster as well.
Noted with thanks re poison save - i went with acid as i had gear to suit it, nothing more than that. The reflex savers will become a pain i'm sure, though i've focused as much as i could on the dc side of things to try to help that. I knew the ele resist stacked with the regular one from either P buffs or spell/potion - but i had no idea alch could gain boosted effects from such potions so thanks for the heads up on that. No falls decay ring sadly though i do have the legendary version i use on Purple's warlock end build.
