  • “There’s definitely a lot of mental breakdowns at the studio if I’m being so real,” Lunar Vacation singer Gep Repasky said in a recent interview about the emotional toll creating the band’s latest album took on her. “I probably cried like every other day.” It’s a familiar story for artists of all stripes, but what about artificial intelligence? AI has no emotions so what does that mean about the art it produces? Explore these questions and more when you watch Repasky read Ed Simon’s story “Is AI Art Really Art?”

So true. Regardless of anyone's opinion of the situation, it's happening.
I think we can use this as a tool to better explore ourselves as humankind. This tool will reflect back to us what we've built, how we programmed and trained what we'vebuilt, and ultimately, what we see and how we feel about our inside worlds and outside world.

Since the algorithm is able to teach itself, then no, it's not really art. However, it can still 'be viewed as art created through an electronic medium.'
From what I'm seeing in this video, it's beautiful.

Heavy stuff. So why bother creating the already created? I’m reminded of the Borg from Star Trek next generation. The collective is coming to swallow us all.
