The blue is nice, but purple seems more fitting. It gives each of the girls in the gen their own color. Having 2 of them be primarily Blue and White would clash a little. Especially when it comes to color coding for subtitles, or even merchandise.

To be fair blue sort of takes over a lot and doesn't look as smooth with the red eye and red brooch/tie pin. The purple also mixes better with the undertones in her hair and kinda makes the model easier to look at.
