WOW! All I knew was Mardi Gras New Orleans and a little of the history of it. Which brought us to Mobile, the birthplace of Mardi Gras. Thank God I have a wife that is willing to go on all these crazy adventures I have always wanted to do, but didnt have someone to share it, so I never did them. My heart has been overwhelmed by the locals here. We never saw an out of state plate and never met someone not local. We were treated as if we have been here all along. So many friendly and loving people here. Less crowds, no lines, and pretty much my best Mardi Gras ever.
Aww so glad you and your wife had a great time! I was born and raised here and the saying is, Let the good times roll!! With all the restrictions last year We still rolled lol So glad yal had a good time! Oh and when the floats go by you say THROW ME SUMMIN MISTER!!! That's the secret to gettin the goods lol. .. and yes the history of Mardi Gras is so kool! The first parade went off without a hitch over on the oldest road in Mobile County called Old Shell Rd. It was named this bc they laid oyster shells down as their pavement. Pretty kool See yal next season! 💜💛💚
This is my parade and I’m happy you had a good time if you were at ours. Mobile Mardi Gras is a lot more family oriented. If you ever come back, go to a Mardi Gras ball!
@@boogiedownforever most of the organizations have Facebook pages and when it gets close to Mardi Gras most will be posting tickets for sale by members. Men have to wear ‘tails’ and women have to wear dresses.
