Unfortunately the visual novel isn't as good as the previous ones since it locks the prospective on the protagonist which heavily ruins the whole theme of the story. You should read the Light Novel instead, which is translated.
Well, ya gotta talk to Spike Chunsoft about that-- It'll probably be at least 2020-2021 when this gets an English version, if ever, since they're doing Robotics;Notes Elite & DaSH for now--
I prefer waiting for Occultic;Nine New World release in order to "fix" the story and integrate it to the SciADV franchise. This is promising since there are already references to Steins;Gate without the integration. And then, an English release :)

So... was this VN even good? S-should we just stick to the LN until this gets an re-release (or overhaul) in the next few years?? The LN to this series actually slaps so it’s kinda sad that even it’s VN counterpart didn’t do justice.
Alas, the VN release for this game was incomplete, and even what was complete left a lot to be desired... They basically axed a lot of the multiple POVs aspect of the story and made Yuta the central POV character, to the point of finding excuses to force him into scenes he wasn't in before. New World (The re-release that was supposed to fix a lot of the issues) was meant to come out a while ago, but at the moment who knows where it is. No news on when Volume 4 of the LN would come out either, unfortunately. Maybe one day we'll FINALLY get that definitive Occultic;Nine experience, but I'm just gonna hope Anonymous;Code is good for now. If it even comes out.

New World is supposed to explain it, but they axed all of the real world brands from the LN/Anime in favour of the usual SciAdv funny names, and Chiyo considers it to be a SciAdv game now, for some reason, so... Oops. Either way, Anonymous;Code is as close as we're gonna get, though we barely know how involved that is beyond the latest trailer.
I hadn't heard about 5pb games until recently when i came out of my prolonged absentism from anime and video games in general. but i had heard about steins gate, chaos head and even occultic nine (the anime op for the last). now realising that most originated as Visual Novels is HYPE in EXTREME LEVELS for me. so please. Can we please get Ports, 5pb.??
@@MarkDream35 I'd still take it. i mean the no. of good quality VNs being released are lowering now, and i'm a big fan of Mages, Spike Chunsoft and Type-Moon (also 4LS for Katawa Shoujo). Gone are the days of good Jap GBA&and PSP game imports. The VIta had good and common trash. So i'll take any, any PC VN i get now, since pc vn gaming has taken a huuuge flunk now with switch and all

The additional heroine routes are an great addition to the story. Chaos;head love chu chu would be a great option as well, because it's a Canon "sequel" of the true ending. It's more comedy focused and light-hearted, but I loved the casual side of each heroine.

@@Istreakilaz it's really a shame! Unlike many people I know: chaos;head was my first vn of the series. I already loved the writing and atmosphere of the PC version, but I noticed some weak points. Some characters were a little bit underdeveloped, because mages didn't have enough budget for their first visual novel. The characters routes were planned to begin with, but never included it in the original version. Noah fixed all of my complaints with the additional character routes! You will understand some unexplained events from the main story, get more character depth and a small amount of romance. We also got a more accurate explanation of the "delusion synchro" mechanic and everything fits perfectly to the psychedelic tone of the main story. Furthermore, I think chaos;head LCC is like "hollow ataraxia" for "fate/stay night". It's pretty rewarding after experiencing the regular game in my opinion. The worst part about chaos;head is the awful anime adaptation.. It ruined the reputation of the game in my opinion. Same for chaos;child and robotics notes...only steins;gate got an good anime.

The vn is pretty bad. They locked the perspective to the protagonist which kinda goes against the point of the story.
