    Jamaican people do listen well. 😅 the man say 70% of jps user DO NOT pay GCT on jps bill simply because they fall below the 150 kw per month.🙄 Those people are most likely poorest among us, now they will be paying it. How does this benefit the poor exactly?🤔 He went on to say that the higher income earners would most likely benefit the most.🙄 Sooo again I ask how does this benefit the low class and why should we BE GREATFUL for this transfer of tax from the well off to the poor?😒🙆

    Well done! Even if it impacted one person, I’d still support it.

      Well, the PNP had promised to remove GCT from electricity 🙄 bills, but it didn't happen. At least this government is giving back something. The PNP gave you nothing, and they only taxed us. And, you know why? Because they couldn't grow the economy. A bunch of crooked lawyers in a political party cannot fix our problems. PJ is our richest former Prime Minister and is currently getting 3/4 of the current Prime Minister's salary. If that's not wickedness, tell me another that beat that??😢😢😢

      Be careful 🧐 here comes another crooked lawyer in the form of Mark Golding, a British citizen at that 😢😢 Wise up Jamaica 🇯🇲 history MUST taught us a lesson. Mark Golding with an ignorant crowd is a dangerous 😳 ☠️ thing. We've seen 👀 how that destroyed Jamaica 🇯🇲 Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Michael Holness is not perfect, but he is trying his best. The Integrity Commission has become a PNP weapon 😢But, the PM judicial review shall set the record straight, and the fact about Mark Golding's place of birth, too, shall be a revelation. Can you trust a liar??😢😢😂😂

      Its called political stratigising and most if not all politicians do it when it comes to election.And for the record most of what the PM promised in the past has actually come to fruition.

    Andrew said in a political campaign in the past that he's going to bring in the big electricity to Jamaica so that people can get affordable electricity, he's there 9 years now, and talking about reducing tax, and Jamaican people is still falling for that, come my people don't let politicians take you for fool's for that's exactly what your leader are doing, because he knows you people have short memory.

    Listening objectively to both sides of the proposed tax cuts, I’m inclined towards the argument that says it is of little to no effect on the majority…

      Not necessarily there’s no question whatsoever that electricity is extremely expensive in ja…we need a wholesome comprehensive energy plan not mere handouts like giving alms to a few people who we might meet in the streets of life begging…know what I mean?

      I don't think it was meant for everybody. Just for the poorest in society. isn't that so.. the priminister even said they will see what can be done for the business community.
      If they cut it to zero where will the money come from to finished the 6 hospitals and $40 billion spark projects. Turned to the IMF
      That's when price tax inflation will go up later to pay back the IMF loan.

    It is actually going to hurt the poor.
    After all, many papoose paud zero gct but will now pay 7 percent

    • @raggaguru3432
      @raggaguru3432 19 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +2

      No one that is legally connected is paying zero GCT on electricity…..not sure how you came up with that nonsense

    • @brotheradam
      @brotheradam 19 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +2

      Simple. Announce who used less than around 150kwh per month, or over 70 percent of JPS customers, paid no gct. Per this video.
      So the yhreshold is going yo be removed and all pay 7 percent gct.
      So, I stand by my statement. Based upon the video, 70 percent of JPS customers who currently pay 0 percent GCT will pay 7 percent GCT. 30 percent of customers, those yhat use the most current, who pay 16 percent gct, will be reduced to 7 percent gct.
      At least according to this video.
      Now they talk about a rebate based upon usage as well gor the poorer persons, but, as stated, the first result is higher bill gor the poorer people.

    You can not choose one item. Reduction on all consumer good. Because come budget the GCT will increase on other items to make up the difference.
