- This is my flight from LAX to HNL. I had seat 39J which was towards the rear of the aircraft. I really enjoyed the flight as they offered an inflight meal, ifes, great legroom, and wide seats in general. I would definitely fly with Hawaiian again. Anyways, thanks for watching!

How was the flight? Did you get a chance to rest on the plane? One of the reasons people were angry at the possibility of an Europe to USA ban for laptops in your lap during the flight is the lack of opportunity for work to be done during that fight. What did you do?

the sweetest time i've ever had as an adult was all the flights back and forth to Korea. Loved being in the air.
That plane is pretty nice and my trip to Hawaii was great! I had the whole row of seats to myself, slept most of the way, but Hawaiian airlines one of the nicest airlines to fly on, especially to Hawaii

I went to Honolulu in 1991. 3-hours after my arrival i was climbing to the top of Diamond Head. Fantastic view!! What a great experience!! ALOHA!! HANG LOOSE!!

I flew on Hawaiian airlines a few times and I loved each flight
In March 1988, I moved to HNL from Washington, DC and that is why I had to fly from DCA to DFW on American Airlines and then on American Airlines from DFW to LAX. Three hours later I flew on Pan Am from LAX to HNL. I had to fly back home to Rochester, NY for my brother's funeral service in June 1988. My mother and sister flew to Honolulu from Rochester through the connection at Chicago O'Hare with me on United Airlines. We flew on United Airlines Boeing 747 non-stop from O'Hare to HNL and it took 9 hours. Yes, it was the LONGEST journey I ever experienced and I was very restless, but my mother and I played a 500 rummy card game. That airline offered a very gorgeous Hawaiian hospitality in which all female flight attendants wore their long Aloha dresses (that looked like nightgowns anyway) except the male pilots only wore their regular uniforms. They provided the Hawaiian music and meals. Very wonderful. Yes, all seats in all coaches were full even the upper deck and some passengers had problems with their seat reservations due to overbooked seats. Our seat reservations were fine. They had two different movies to be played (I forget the names of them) and the lunch meals were very delicious and prior to arriving into HNL at 90 minutes later, the snack meals were also provided. Once the airplane landed at HNL smoothly and everyone clapped. I had no idea as to why they clapped.
I'm about to go to Hawaii tomorrow so exciting!

Like the Lockheed L-1011 TriStar, Hawaiian Airlines' Airbus A330s are powered by Rolls-Royce engines.
My grandmother has been to Hawaii at least several times including the Big Island sometime in the late 70s to the mid 80s.
I flew from Brisbane to Honolulu on a HA A330, best service period! Seated in economy but was treated like First Class. I refuse to fly from Anchorage to HNL on Alaska airlines, will go to Seattle and then to HNL on HA because they are that good.
I think HA is turning into a modern day Trans-Tasman Air. I know how important that little airline now is in your part of the world. And I am an American.
We thank the pilot for giving them such a hard lading for them to shut up an pay attention to the landing, this is just a machine and anything can happen during the landing so you should be ready.
I flew from.LA to Honolulu about 75 times from 1991 to 2006. Usually flew the L1011s on Delta. Smooth landings almost 100 percent of time. This one looked like an extremely rough one

I flew on Pan Am Boeing 747 non-stop from LAX to HNL in March 1988 and it was full in all classes even the upper deck and it took five hours and 35 minutes to fly and yes, it was a long journey. All I got was the "double views" which means I only looked at both blue sky and blue ocean all the way and I also saw so many small white waves. The flight was great and the lunch meals were very delicious which I chose a vegetable lasagna with salad, roll and butter, and dessert (I forget what kind it was) over the seafood platter. The movie was called "Vice Versa" which was played by Dudley Moore. The movie called "Suspect" which was played by Cher and Dennis Quaid, but many teenager girls wanted to watch "Vice Versa" because of Kurt (jeez, I forget his last name). It landed at HNL smoothly. I would like to experience flying on Hawaiian Airlines one day from LAX to HNL.

+danny1966 Very cool! I was at Hawaii to go to a private wedding, as there was only me and my sister who attended the wedding. I was 9. My father and my stepmom got married in Maui in 2009. They are still going strong, too!

It would be too long to upload a 5.5 hour flight. But this is full flight there are al out all of the features and events. Such as takeoff, cruising, descent, and landing.
I completely get that but when I see the words "Full Flight" that is what I'm led to believe....still a wonderful flight though and it is appreciated.

Interesting landing.. Pretty slow approach, hard touchdown, and it took the pilots 5 seconds to nose down after landing.

My flight from LAX to HNL wasn't as pleasant, I was seated next to a dude who snored the WHOLE FLIGHT! I couldn't even sleep.. the flight back was nice, I had the full row to myself and enjoyed some relaxation :D (my parents sat on the opposite row)

I went there in November of last year.
Just came back from Hawaii, and was SO BUMMED! We were supposed to fly an A330 home from HNL-OAK, and because of equipment problems, we ended up being delayed an hour and 45 minutes on the ground in HNL, and our return flight equipment was downgraded from the A330 to a 767. I SO wanted to fly it! Next time!
Ben Schaeffer the 767 is still an amazing aircraft. But I agree, I still would have wanted to fly the A330.
