BeamMP racing is amazing, I drive with a ffb wheel and when you get lucky and find the right people in servers, you can have incredibly close and competitive races, as long as everyone there can actually drive and race cleanly. 8 person class racing seems to be the perfect amount for what my computer can handle and it's always a blast.
As long as BeamNG doesn't use proper tyre simulation, it's not gonna be good for racing. They basically have no simulation for tyres going sideways (which actually deforms a tyre), so any kind of turning or sliding has very inconsistent and shitty handling. They have mentioned they are working on the tyres, but still no updates.
@@1994savvas beam is constantly being developed and they have a lot left to do before they'll be perfecting their tyre model. But looking at how the games come along and the non stop updates for like 10 years I'm very confident it'll be exceptional when they're done.

The guy who went faster in the truck actually knew how you shift trucks. When you are not carrying a load you skip gears. Start in second, jump to 4th, go straight to 7th and so on. The engine has the Torque

Had no idea the DRS could make you fly. Figured it reduced drag that allowed cars to go faster, but now I'm thinking it probably lifts the car making it lighter and therefore faster? 😂
No it reduces drag at the expense of downforce, he flew because his front aero was broken, nothing to keep the front from rising and a lot forcing the rear down means a little air time results in flight.

i know the thumbnails are 3D renders, but just HOW is it done so fast ? I've had experience with importing assets in Blender and BeamNG cars are always textureless

Make proper races in BeamNG a thing! No resets, short circuits (to avoid too much space between players), the perfect hardcore racing...
I think resets are fine because you lose time regardless so you still get a penalty even if it's unofficial.
I think BeaMNG would make a great oval track simulator.

Beam is so close to a proper race sim. Sure they might be lacking proper aero and weather but the customization and destruction are unparalleled on PC.
They also lack tire characteristics. Tires should be gripping on what it's made for. Seeing an f1 spinning out of its own on the tarmac is illogical.
