Just as always, this video didn’t disappointment. Those are some lures. I LOVE that rod Houston has. This video gave me plenty of giggles. Like the rest of the videos, these remind me of all the times that my Dad and I went fishing and hunting. Honestly, all the videos remind me of my Mom, my Dad, my sisters, and I. A buddy of mine from Columbia Missouri, has a lot of fish mounts including one of my favorites...9 very small Bluegill on driftwood. Everyone wants BIG fish mounts but that was unique!

Hey arms I’m have a suggestion! So I have a pond near my house so what what we do is catch little bluegills the size of your palm you have to get worms and put them on. Bluegill hook and then you get a base rod and put a bobber on it and cast it out! Trust me I went the other night and caught a six pounder!

The guide has to choose the strategy, the baits, run the boat, and be a real professional guide for a day. One is the guide and one is the client for a day. The guide calls all the shots and caters to the client for the day. The one who is the guide with the most fish for the day wins.
Great job "Dadding", Dan; beside the content most folks are making your channel a favorite to watch, you and your wife are demonstrating the finer points of parenting. May I ask that you share my experience of having my boat partner on a Canadian fishing trip that was about 80 miles from the nearest clinic when , on using his rod to lift his keeper walleye up and then, with his pole bent to it's maximum, had the fish shake loose just as he reached directly over the fish an several huge treble hooks. The lure rocketed up and set one of the treble hooks sank so deeply into the web between his thumb and pointer finger that the point was nearly poking out the top of his hand. Because we were out about 20 miles beyond our cabin and the barb was "around the bend" of the hook, backing it out the way he had hooked himself was going to require surgery. I ended up disinfecting his hand & the hook and pushing it the last few millimeters thru the top of his hand, cutting the hook off just below the hook's barb with a side cutter and slid it back out. I kept his "musky lure" and mounted it on a walnut board engraved with his height and weight to remind him of his record-sized 'catch & release' in northern Ontario. Reaching over a highly tensioned rod and hook/lure is fishing's version of Russian Roulette.
Another cool video! May have to expand the boat in the future. Bait, rods, and fishermen getting bigger! Hope Houston had a good scrimmage! I’m glad I don’t have to sit through those hot Saturday morning football games anymore. It’s Friday night lights for me for the next 4years!

Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit th-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
