- Studying in medical school is straightforward; you read the content, and you go to the exam, and usually, you answer MCQs and choose the one right answer! But in residency, it's different! There are multiple sources of information, from morning rounds to daily teaching sessions to bedside teaching to academic half days and lectures! And on top of that, there is no single right answer; there are many ways to treat diseases and always take into consideration the risks and benefits of every decision.
In this video, I share lessons from three years of internal medicine residency, how to organize the information you learn daily and other lessons and books that made me become a better future doctor.
1:31 Rule #1 Develop a system to organize the information
10:11 Rule #2 prepare early for board exams
12:28 Rule #3 Write down your mistakes
13:48 Rule #4 Think again about the physical exam
17:34 Rule #5 Reassess what really matters to your patient
19:37 Rule #6 Be good to yourself

Thank you very much for these kind words!
Very nice an informative video, thank you🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you for these great tips. I think you will become a great consultant. Out of curiosity; have you tried Notion as well? If yes what did you (dis-)like about it as compared to Anki?
Notion is great too if you like it. it really depends what works for you. The most important is use one system and stick to it
Anki need internet sometimes
yes but in the hospital you have that all the time. Sometimes it could be hard to use it outside I agree
