Tolkien's creative desire to incorporate English myth and folklore into his stories as well as a unique door. In my imagination i think that perhaps he may have seen large storage barrels on their sides, stacked up or perhaps on a cart and thought of doors and shields, small kids can hide behind barrels you know. after all a hobbit is 3 feet tall. I noticed you didn't prime any of your foam pieces with a flat color. reason?
Asked and answered. I like the idea of barrels on their sides. That makes sense. I did prime the parts that I painted the sky. My sharpies marks needed to be covered up. The rest? I knew the ground would be covered in colored texture. The house part got painted with the Mod Podge. I guess I don’t really have an answer except that I didn’t see it as a necessary step.
Now you got me thinking. Maybe if I had put on a coat of primer I wouldn’t have had to cover up white spots with flock and tufts. It’s something to think about for next time.
Nothing like a good hobbit hole to adorn the book case!
I really do like it. I wasn’t sure how it would be as I was building it. But it adds to the whole bookcase.
It came out fantastic ✌️
You are too kind. Thanks.
This is amazing! The details are incredible!
Thanks. It’s the little details that really make the difference
Awesome build Red Dog! I love the idea of making it a book nook!
Thanks TCC. It was a new challenge for me
@@reddogterrain Well it came out great and looks awesome on the shelf!
@@TheCraftCave Much appreciated.

Thanks, buddy. Much appreciated
@@reddogterrain you are very welcome 🤗
Looks amazing. I use Huge Miniatures product as well
They make good quality stuff.
When can I move in? Great book nook
L O L. I think the Hava that lives there now would be a little upset if you moved in.
LOVE THIS ONE!!! need to make an itty bitty little sign that reads: No admittance except on party business! LOL.
I don’t know if my itty bitty handwriting is good enough for that.
How awesome. Such a beautiful artwork 💗💗
You are too kind. Thank you
This was great! I think it might be a shelf-nook, but that's ok! Maybe even better!
I just wish there was something that rhymed with shelf to replaced nook.
Maybe a multibook-nook or books-nook. Looks like it takes up as much space as the trilogy.
@@bridgethebert9790 Sure. What would the other bills be?
Very nice love this!
Thanks, Moon.
I like the term crustard.
I can’t take credit for that. It comes from Bill Makes Stuff.
