I have seen thousands of minis, and yours is on the top ten in matters of taste, congratulations. I own a 69 mini tribute to the Mark ii (mark IV body), I know it sounds painfull, but here instead of the Mark ii we had fiberglass minis
Very nice looking MK2 Mini! I'm restoring one myself. Saw only two minor flaws: The corner bars on the bumpers are from a MK1 and the steering wheel was upside down, but overall still great!
Don' t know why this popped up so late in the day . However , it's a very nice example and if you hadn't have mentioned Cooper then you wouldn't have got any bad remarks!
Very cool video ... Though it would be great to hear the car running without the music. .. I really prefer the Mk2's , just awesome looking cars ... Great job !
Interesting... looks very nice... wrong badge on the bonnet and boot? ...upper dash bar with ashtray should have been covered in black vinyl? ...where are the twin carbs? ...simple overriders with no 'eyebrows' on the chrome bumpers I think on a Mk2 Cooper? ...and 1275 badge on a 998 Cooper? Pedantic I know... put it down to envy ;)
@@tombryant4518 it's a tricky one (I do agree) the true joy of the mini (and how it went wrong after about 1969/70) was it's complete functionality and the creativity which offered great handling and 80% usable passenger space. The difference is that Americans want to be seen to be blowing you off - I'd much rather see the surprise on their face, so anonymous Q-car status floats my boat - no point in adding any extra weight anyway?
@@nlumby Ya. I’m a Canadian who is 45 years old and still own the 1969 Austin Mini Mk2 Automatic 1000 that I bought for $550.00 when I was 16. The only non original thing on it is the interior door string pulls were swapped out for S chrome handles.
Very nice mini. I'm a little confused though. I have a '69 mini and I have wind up windows. I thought only the earlier mini's had the sliding windows. Also, this car seems to have a late model grill. Never the less, great car.
Hi. It all depends where the mini was built .If it's Italian ,lnnocenti , wind up windows. South African built likewise . And Australian mini's also had wind up windows. The only British variant at that time to have wind up windows ( not including one off custom build ) was the Riley Elf and Wolseley Hornet.
look 5 x10 as had on mine don't need arches with those and imagine 165/70x10 tyres ,mk11 rear lights this is a cooper the smaller brother to the S would have had a 998cc and a single tank which this has.
Thank you for your feedback. Asking because the fitment looks really nice and with no fender flares to. But yeah I should be getting mine sometime this mouth. I always what'd one even when I was little so super excited =). But thank you again.
I had a Morris Mini 850 Super Delux, reg GWC324. It was awful. A rust bucket, a money pit, unreliable and very poor MPG. The worst car ever made by mankind.

Top five on my fav mini list...
Dude, awesome video. No plotline no nothing, just you and a beautiful car, yet such a great story :) Got some skills!
Simple yet artistically beautiful no need for add ons or fancy colour just right
Nice retro Mini Cooper car film. Keep up the awesome work. :D
Congratulations! Nice video and cool Mini! I love it!!

Americans always mess up Minis.

What size wheel and tire are you running. Looks perfect.

Amazing!
Hey, do you recall what spec of the minilite wheels and tires you were using?
Sorry I don’t remember exactly but i think they were mini lites
imjustjoshs okay, thank you! That is one nice ride though.
Hello, very beautiful Austin :) can yon give me the size of your rims and tires please ? Thank's
mariol4x4 I'll try to remember but I think it was a 10x7 I had sold the car a few years back
mariol4x4 those wheels will be at most 10 x 5j anything wider needs wheel arch spats etc
look 5 x10 as had on mine don't need arches with those and imagine 165/70x10 tyres ,mk11 rear lights this is a cooper the smaller brother to the S would have had a 998cc and a single tank which this has.
Hey juush Nice car... I have a question for you. How did you get your car that low, I don't think that my hi low makes my car that low as yours
I put it just right at the lowest point I did nothing special.
Hey, you running 5J wheels on there ? Yoko A8008's by chance ?has a great stance !
Sorry for the late reply but I forgot what the wheels were called but yea I had that type of tire on there
+juush pressplay wheels look like minilite copies, the "J" refers to the width' was wondering what width wheels you were running
madaboutbrens they look like 5 inch to me - I run something similar on mine
cheers.. no issues with rubbing on the arches ?

Beautifull.
if I may ask what size rims and tires are those?
Matthew Vizcaino if I recall it was a 10x7 but I forgot what size I know it was the only advan size they had in 10"
Matthew Vizcaino I don't have the Austin anymore i sold it about 3 years ago

WHAT WHEELS ARE THEY ?
Tint in small windows
Bella
For how much did you sold it?
What suspension set up do you have?
how come you put a mk3 grille on mate ?
The old owner had put that at the time. I was going to change that if I still kept it
juush pressplay you must change the original grill mark 1
Isn't that a MkII grille? Same as MkIII too
this model is mark 2 . that why the grill same with mark 3 .
Hi Juush, I love your Mini and your video. If you decide to sell it, let me know. I mean it. Thank you... Egidio
Sorry it was sold 2 years ago, I made the video because it pending sale at the time and I wanted to make a video as a remembrance.
In Australia I had 2 ..they were called Cooper S The highway patrol used them.........big cops fitted
