Congratulations on explaining the correct approach to watch design!

Steve, thank's heaps for showing us your process and ideas!

Great explanation. I even understand some of it.

Thanks for this, Steve! Thanks for the book recommendations. One day I hope to make my own. In the meantime, I've added names to the base of the silent desk clock and given them away as gifts. There's 3 people besides myself who admire and display your work in their offices every day, and constantly get comments on them.
Your contribution to mankind will be silently ticking into the future until these cheap Chinese stepper's windings burn up.
Happy trails, brother! I hope the future brings you great fortune. You deserve every bit of it.

I also print Steve's clocks as gifts. I find the more I print the better they are.

Excellent video Steve.... would definitely like more of these on the design theory. Much appreciated.

Thanks. I will try to make more videos like this one, possibly a deeper dive into some of the details. There are several optimizations to take advantage of special characteristics of 3D printed parts.

Steve, a very detailed explanation on your design process. I'm glad you like to design them, I like to print them. You should write a book on this, since so many of the reference books are out of print. I'm sure you could provide new insight as to designing for 3D printing or Laser / CNC

Thanks Dave. I always try to consider the material used to decide the best design methods. 3D printing can have completely different designs than brass or wood.

I purchased the clock files. Do you have a list describing the needed non printed parts?

The download includes a pdf file with all the details.

Hi, how can we pay others than Vis a please. We did have a Visa, but our bank has just changed to master card. Thank you

All the transactions are handled by MyMiniFactory. They support Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or PayPal in the US. Not sure if the same list applies to all countries around the world.
