AETHERCREST is my personal take on a deltarune roleswap AU called "Deltaswap".
This replaces "Field of Hopes and Dreams".

In this AU, the first Dreamscape that you'll enter is "Forever Wonderland", with the first main area taking place in the "sky". "Forever Grove"; a winter of pink cloudy area made out of cottons showered by ribbon snowflakes and teemed with all sizes of vine. There are also waterfalls that flow from the cloud. Despite being mostly clouds, blue rocky roads give way for the inhabitants to navigate. Sometimes you will see bridges and any carnival-like gimmick ahead.
Once a beautiful land for everyone to march along the snowy path and celebrate their joy. It was a perfect place for a street carnival. But now, it turned into an ominous habitat for the wrecked souls.
A darker version of "Park of Determination and Grit" is the new replacement to this AU's "Field of Hopes and Dreams". The general vibe of the place is fairly inspired by BLACK SPACE from OMORI and The Cliff That Time Forgot from Earthbound/MOTHER 2. Snowdin Town and Don't Forget swap now due to its new context; Don't Forget is associated with "Light and Dark" evident by its lyrics and the fact that Toby once called it "I'm with you in the dark", and Snowdin Town is associated with "Hopes and Dreams". Determination and Faint Courage swap in the process.

I like how it manages to keep the winter-y vibe of the old one while also adding the creepy circus vibe of the new Episode I world. It’s like if The Grinch Who Stole Christmas was a horror film

Yooo this sounds menacing as hell, a complete antithesis to Field of Hopes and Dreams. Love how well this sets the tone. ...Is it weird this sounds like a Homestuck song? I say that with the most sincerity and mean it purely as a compliment, it's got this feeling to it that just feels so much like exploring the planets in Homestuck.
The contrast between this and the old replacement really goes to show how much this AU has changed over time. It's hardly even recognizable as the same AU, but the quality remains as good as ever!

I knew AETHERCREST's reboot would be kickass... BUT TO SUCH AN EXTENT??? NO WAY I EXPECTED THAT!
I absolutely love the darker, Grit-tier(eh? Eh? Get it?...) take on the thumbnails, as well as the original name for this one.
"After Light, Comes the Dark".
A perfect example on how to use the Light/Dark Hopes/Dreams swap in a name. And it fits with the horror part of AETHERCREST, too! Just a great name overall.
And the track... is just TERRIFIC. So damn good.
Overall, this just makes me hyped for more AC/es content. Good job!

Really Happy to see AETHERCREST back again. Really dig the darker, more sinister vibes. Nails that the secret bosses, now the main bosses, are still crazy and have since outwardly affected the dark world around them. Hope to see more AC in the future, and I hope you’re doing well, Moon. Love your stuff!

At first i was a lil skeptical of this direction but now i think about it yeah this makes a lot of sense with Noelle's themes of bein attracted to scary things abd creepypasta like games so this being a game like that itself is a good idea
