wow!!! what a difference!! that is amazing!!! loving the slope with the boulders now... you are on the money with rocks; they add so much dimension... and give the lizards a place to sunbathe 🥰 i am so in love with ruby slippers... i'm gonna put 'em all 'round my areas here... the homeowner must be delighted with this renovation.. love the meditation area... wow... you and the team are amazing!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

Another gorgeous job. Can't wait for tomorrow. You and your crew are an inspiration to us all, and the way the climate is changing here in texas, that inspiration is definitely needed.❤❤

I'm early! Excited to see this finished restoration. Unfortunately I don't even live in California, but living vicariously through you.
Edit: The barrels are much, much better for the space, but I feel they are a bit too uniform, I think.

I'm so excited to see the end result :D it's often when you rework a garden that you fine-tune certain areas and get it really tight, love it, chefs kiss :* you truly live in the land of milk and honey, so lucky to work there as well, all i can grow in my climate in the ground are 'Fred Ives', Echeveria imbrincata, and Aloe vera and maculata :/ everything else rots away 😢

Third! I love this instillation, so beautiful. I think the stag horn ferns on the wall are so structural and beautiful, I wonder if some succs or cacti could mirror the shape !

The aloe barbere needs a v shape cutout maybe? I have seen some videos that suggest it prevents rot from moisture. Excited to see the experiment.

You guys ever think about using dragonfruit? You just stick a pole and secure it and it's a succulent and makes a cool kind of tree and you get fruit which is really ornamental and tastes good too. They aren't expensive either. You can also just have them grow sideways to fill a long narrow low area too like that barrel cactus spot in the front as an example. Just another fun option.

Hi, Laura! The slope is still too crowded with plants, don’t you think so?

  • @erikm8372

6:25 FYI, since you guys brought it up in the video, the _Aloe bainesii_ tree aloe has been "relocated" (reclassified) to its own tree aloe genus called _Aloidendron_ because of its unique characteristics. So now its together with the former _Aloe ramosissimus_ and _A. dichotoma_ (now Aloidendrons). So while they’re not technically 'true' aloes, as in mostly low-growing, rosette plants in the _Aloe_ genus, theyre "aloe-adjacent". 😂
But it’s the same situation with Bulbine, Kniphofia (red hot pokers), Haworthias, Gasterias, daylilies, alstroemerias (Peruvian lilies) and, believe it or not, _Phormium_ (aka New Zealand flax).

Iam very interested in seeing how this garden rehab plays out. So many beautiful plants to move around & adopt out. The owner has some hanging Living Frame of succulents, could you find out what kind of planting medium is being used (moss or soil is being used, Or combination of?) Thanks Laura
