- Why after all these years am I choosing to have a custom fabricated stainless steel cat back exhaust fitted to one of my cars?

That’s a great job there. Sounds nice and it’s a good and decent mod for this car. Mind you, I still remember that some used to fit Remus exhausts to these back in the day 😅

There is a slight drone when on the gas at speed but to be honest it's not so loud to be covered by the radio.

Looks great and certainly a good compromise on refinement. Exhausts for older vehicles seem to be becoming an issue so I’ll possibly have to do the same with my 190E as the down pipes are getting crusty…
It is louder than I'm used to by the nature of being more free flowing but the craftsmanship is excellent and I've had no issues with the system hitting the underside of the car.
I suppose as more new cars become EV we will find exhaust systems will inevitably become more increasingly specialist work.

I was aiming for as near OEM as possible to be honest. To someone my age who has never had a system like this before it is louder than I'm used to but it does make me giggle when driving it. 😅
@@markonmotoring Very sympathetic system to the Renault. I struggled for the Polo but got a steel system from Poland, fit better than the previous Bosal, but expect to go custom stainless next time. MX5 has great spares availability so bought a stainless Cobalt from Moss, quietest available, but fairly loud with a silenced De Cat, but in keeping with mx5

Brilliant video as always your exhaust sounds fantastic and looks great also, I got my stainless steel exhaust for different reasons, I have and induction kit on the engine allowing more air in so I fitted the stainless steel exhaust to release the exhaust gasses fast so they work together, wishing you all the best with your channel for the new year and also your family all the best.

@@blackfiatpunto863 it was a reluctant sale. I will be releasing a new car unveiling video in the new year which will also cover the departure of my Fiat.
