Sorry to hear that, it's been a weird couple of years my brother died just before covid my uncle died and my father died of Alzheimer's a couple of months ago. I know they're in a better place now. Although watching this gives me an idea of what the better place is like!
My immediate and extended family are complete assholes. Don't talk to each other for months or years unless they want to beg for money, which they will never return. And when you try to call them to see how they are doing, they want to hurry up and get you off the phone in the first minute, because they act like they have more important things to do than talk to their relatives. I watch these videos, because I am glad some people have a nice family like this. Not everyone does sadly.
I think your children have made your sailing journey the ultimate, watching them grow and evolve, enjoying a much closer relationship than you would have had in your life on land.

I started taking drawing seriously when I was about 13/14. Pigmas are still my favorite felt tips for drawing, so clean. They were my "first love" as far as ink goes. Kate, if you're not already familiar, you might appreciate Clayboard. It's a type of medium for drawing, painting, etc. I've had a lot of fun using it with ink, watercolor and paint. Steel wool or scotchbrite act kind of like an eraser, but with texture - you can get some really cool fades and other effects. People's feelings about art are entirely subjective. Some people will appreciate what you do, some won't. Just remember, it's not about those who don't like it - it's about those who do, even if it's between you and yourself. Keep creating, whether you show it off, or not. If you keep practicing, you will become undeniable.

Keith's explanation about being on a collision course sounds very familiar to what I was told from a Certified Flight Instructor. I have a feeling that Keith was recalling the same lesson from his days as a pilot.
BUT it is only true if your craft maintains exactly the same heading. The "proper" way to do it is to take a compass bearing of the other vessel: if the bearing doesn't change then you're on collision course. People have incorrectly felt safe because the other vessel was apparently moving across their vision window when in fact the change was due to their own heading changing.
These videos never get old, hope to do something like this in a few years but in a van. These videos are actually stunning and I’m like the biggest fan ever. Your family is legendary
