tons of people who've played LoR are going to be, understandable, pretty bitter about this. not hating on you or the project, it's cool that you made a TTS mod
Hey Willow, thanks so much for you hard work and dedication making this! I'm so excited to get my hands on the first full set and play some games with my friends. One minor suggestion: I know that your workshop content is still a work in progress, but I've played plenty of MTG commander and found myself using the Left alt key frequently to get a zoomed-in version of card art to read and learn their text. I think that currently in your workshop mod, holding Left Alt over the table itself covers the whole screen with its art, and is a tad jarring when attempting to move between cards while holding that zoom key. It would be awesome if you could find a way to set the table as an actual static table, rather than an object that is zoom-able. Thanks again for your work, it looks awesome otherwise!
Realistically I had two options. Static, or 4 player friendly. Originally I planned to make the table as static as possible to make it easier to ready in videos. But I played around with it for awhile and still didn't end up with results I wanted. I might make a fork of the table using a lot of the same systems that's more static, but generally I think where I landed was best for most users.
Gameplay wise this feels a lot like a Bandai style cardgame, which is good, because One Piece and Digimon are both kind of refreshing to play if you are used to the older TCGs, like Yugioh or Magic.
I have no clue what makes Riot think this will do better than LoR? Literally all they had to do was a new marketing campaign for LoR since a lot of people don't even know it exists. This game will do even worse than LoR due to having a paid entry barrier.
thats where you are wrong brother the feel of the gamble with searching for cards is what LOR lacked that hunt for a chase card feeling is what pulls people in LOR lacked that and so it made it hard to stream and get people excited for plus the advertising wasn't the best but people play card games not only to play but to chase
@@michaeljacobs4825that‘s the saddest truth ever and i have to agree… LoR was soo F2P, but content creators or their fans(or both) love packs opening/ P2W… so sad, i really liked LoR, i just stopped because nobody really played it🥲 they would rather spend money in heartstone/yugioh or pokemon to open packs🤦🏻♂️
It will definitely do better than LoR. While LoR is better than any physical TCG gameplay wise, physical TCG's are by nature easy to monetize because they double as collector's products

Short answer: No, It is copmpletely different. Long answer:No: You select a Legend that gives you the two color of the deck. The mana/runes/colors are 6 Any card can be played only if you have the color. Powerful spell are specific for specific legends. Units have only attack power, called might. There are several environment to conquer to have bonus. Keywords are completely different, more near to league. The followers have often completely different power level and effects (but the art is always from LoR)
Bottom left of the card, FND - X/298. FND is the Set Name code, for this one we're assuming Foundation, X is the specific card number, 298 is how many cards in the FND Set.
Im a ex Magic pro Player , Riot shouldnt put their hands on Card Games! Disgusting Player experience same as Bad Marketing and how they handle their Playerbase and Games at all.
Best joke, LOR was incredible for the pros with lots of tournaments, a fair ranking etc. the problem was the lack of communication about the game and a very niche type of game and a free card game which is impossible these days and as a result the game has seen its funding dwindle. Lol best competitive game E sport, closed league problem but it's still the best and most viewed. And they renew mod with new type of game, all league work for increase stat and renew correctly the competition exemple of LCS and now LEC. A new competion appear with fearless type Valorant too and even great marketing. TFT is exploding in stat and with worlds, the only big problem is travel. 2XKO communicates enormously and has been put in the spotlight, and will probably be at the EVO a lot. RIOT explores its lore and cinematic universe, so newcomers are bound to become interested. Coming from Magic, this isn't a perfect example of marketing.
@@noroysama curious as to what you mean by your last line "this isn't a perfect example of marketing". Do you mean that Magic in comparison isn't the best example, or do you mean that Project K hasn't had the perfect example of marketing? Just confused as you essentially praise Riot for all their former games (except LoR I suppose) when it came to marketing. 'Cause sure, so far Project K haven't had the best - But tbh I reckon that's because they haven't fully started to market it yet. I reckon a big boom of marketing for Project K will come closer to release. They are after all just playtesting it in the Macao TFT event as far as I've understood.
@@MrNightgale I'm talking about Magic's marketing, with its excessive expansions, after all it makes people love the game and players are happy for new cards. But in view of their full partnership projects, for example Marvel and SpongeBob SquarePants, which are far removed from the basic universe + the changes to the standart and modern are a bit bizarre + and I'm not even talking about what happened with Commander mode. As for Project K, for the moment it's a vast joke designed to entice China. The desgin aren't finished and the project manager tweeted that it was a test and that they're going to modify the maps because the community isn't happy. And on top of that, not wanting to put the game online or merge with LOR, I find that bizarre. But on the other hand, they're going to go all out on marketing, and to say otherwise is to misunderstand Riot.
While I like that you took initiative and built this for the people that won't be included do to either lack of an lgs or long release date etc... , can we not do this for them after they screwed us something fierce. They refused to listen to the lor player base for years , what makes you think this will be any different if there are problems ? We just need everyone to hop onto lor the day this drops and stand firm , let them know how pissed we really are. They did little to no marketing for lor , we asked them to fix things in so many ways and they didn't do it , they chose not to release in china for the dumbest of reason... Making a tcg when they couldn't beat hearthstone or Arena is also pretty dumb but that is another point. That being said I hope your mod does well ma dude and it doesn't get struck down for copyright cuz this will be needed.
The reason they stopped focusing on LoR is because it was too F2P and they were literally losing money. A physical TCG means they cant just give cards away like they did in LoR and they will get their money back. With the new boom of TCG interest that has started recently, and with how popular the TCG market is in China (where Riot's parent company is located) This is a way more financially viable option for the company
I clicked on this video fully expecting a LoR joke. You had the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever.
