- On our way to Cornwall we stopped to visit Sheppy's cider farm as we had heard good things about the 'House of Cider' farm shop.
Sheppy's Cider is situated at Bradford-On-Tone, between Taunton and Wellington on the A38, just off Junction 26 of the M5. There is plenty of parking for motorhomes and we found a lovely spot tucked away in a corner.
This is a place I have driven past many times, but never been to. As I love cider (and it's gluten free!), it was a no brainer to start off our 2 week holiday with an opportunity to stock up on some award winning blends.
We explored the House of Cider farm shop, the Museum and the Orchards. I could have filled baskets and baskets with cider, meats from the butchery counter and amazing locally sourced cheeses, pies, vegetables and chutneys. Not to mention the bakery products (including gf), sweets, biscuits and stationary!
Bliss!!!!
Well worth a visit with something for everyone.

We are less than a year in to our motorhome ownership but we love the freedom and ease it gives us to travel around the UK (within guidelines) and cannot wait to head to Europe maybe next year...
We are making all the rookie errors, but continue to laugh at our mistakes (eventually) and share our travels with family, friends and like minded people through our vlogs.

I highly recommend The Railway Inn at Sanford, Somerset home of Thatchers Cider and a couple of miles from where I was born. Although, so far the best cider I have had while back in the UK is Devon Red by Sandford Ciders who are not in Sandford, but are based near Crediton, Devon.

I used to go to Sheppy's in the early 1980 s for cider. As i already lived in Cornwall it was on the way home after holidaying in southern England. Back then Sheppy's had no shop or cafe and only sold cider.
