Hopefully be on the "end" of the trial that's actually receiving the bacterial "upgrade". Where might one be being conducted near "upstate NY at this this?" if anti-microbial peptides were meant to be produced by good bacteria, why not quantify protein instead of RNA or atleast why not both and why RNA quantification only?
That's a great question! It is *way* easier and cheaper to quantify RNA than proteins, and since the main purpose of RNAs is to be translated into proteins, it's a really good proxy to use in the lab.
