- $100 Hamburger season brought us to Guelph Air Park (CNC4) for one of their Thursday evening BBQ's. Some nice swirly 12 - 15 kt winds kept things exciting especially when the runway is tiny and the approach is over a tall hill with trees. Thanks to Wayne for the ground view shots. Plenty of vintage aircraft and one of the coolest hangars around can be seen at Guelph.
Nice 👍
That's a challenging runway to land on especially here in Southern Ontario as it's so not typical flat all the way around terrain. Looks like you did a fine job there.
More than a few years ago. I had landed on the same runway, with Murphy Renegade. A small light biplane. It was gusting. It landed like a butterfly on a windy day. I should haved stayed high and landed further down and not at the start. It made for a interesting arrival though.
It did look gusty and it's definetly a narrow runway.
Try Delhi (CDH6). The runway is 35’ wide and in good condition. Yep, you were getting blow around a tad! Blue skies!
I've flown over it a bunch of times. It's PPR. I should give them a ring and see if I can get permission. One of the few paved runways left in SW Ontario that I haven't landed on. York is fairly narrow, landed there a few years ago.
@@Chrisovideos I fly in there 2 or 3 times each year. No permission. If anyone is there, they are happy to see you. Runway looks so cool being so narrow!
