“Are grits, rice?“
“ GRITS COUNT AS RICE”
Absolute comedic moment of the century
Honestly the funniest thing that's ever happened on the podcast besides Geoff hosting while driving
@@trevorfraley1744 honestly still one of my favourite episodes to return to. It was so absurd
27:09 Replay Button 27:09
@@trevorfraley1744how on earth did I miss that??
@@trevorfraley1744 Which ep is that @T4ke2
I've never once felt bad for Geoff but this episode made me realise that I still don't
After all these weeks, I still can't tell whether or not Geoff is legitimately proud of the thesaurus-fueled word salad that is "cauterized grains sear thus."
Melanie Bracewell is always great because she has a very funny way of calling out Geoff’s absurdity that everyone else is numb to at this point. Also “haunted oven” was a really good joke
Yes exactly! She was so funny reacting to Geoff’s shenanigans on the audit episode. Just genuine shock and awe
haunted oven absolutely killed me
11:34 I freaking died when Mel hears the 2nd quote and just goes "NoooOOoooo"
Awesome that this podcast got good after 160+ episodes. What a learning curve!
Geoff's commitment makes these rice songs so good 😂😂
the rice song had me cry laughing. this podcast has fundamentally broken me as a person
geoff's insistence on the bit where he explains his convoluted lyrics to an entire rice song … he's reaching new heights in railroading
Geoff has become Stevie Blunder, fitfully assembling his own "Songs in the Key of Rice".
This is my favorite ep. The last two ep’s have been so fucking funny. I feel like Geoff was feeling like he lost it for the last couple months he was pretty low energy. But man he is better than ever. Love all these folks. Best rice song so far in my opinion, fuck it was funny.
The rice song had me weeping
Miles truly is the antithesis to Geoff’s psoriasis
Best rice song so far. Next one needs to be an Ice Spice parody.
"Chef's a Liar" (pt. 2) (ft. Ice Spice)
He Finally got reilly to hear one!
I’ve always wanted Rice Kelly instead of Grace Kelly. “I could be brown I could be white I could be basmati rice!”
This was one of my all time favorite non-Marika episodes. As good as it gets without our queen.
I missed her so much during the rice song. She loves those, Geoff would have gotten a way more positive reception.
2 rice songs in a row is crazy. This album is going feature length
This combination of guests might just be the GOAT
I don’t think people realise how big a deal Mel is in Australia and New Zealand… she’s an absolute get for this show
Saw her on this, said I'd check if I'd heard her on The Worst Idea of All Time. Yep, she's there 😂
10 minutes in and already an all-time banger! Miles is a national treasure, and I love that his "thing" in this "podcast" is trying to embarrass Geoff.
Just finished it - holy shit this may be the best one so far. What an amazing ep.
This and last weeks episode have been all-timers & I hate that I have to add this as an addendum, but it clearly isn’t because of Geoff.
Miles is merely a Good Samaritan, helping the wounded Geoff off the road.
My favorite new Geoff word for rice is "burnt specks"
What's that? "Gotcha journalism"? So you can dish it out but you can't take it, huh, Geoffy-boy? Okay but seriously, seeing Geoff turn beet-red from embarrassment was magnificent to behold!
The clarinet-to-comedy pipeline is real.
I love how all prior rice songs were remotely close to the title, meanwhile this one is forced in like a bowling ball through a straw
What is the original title?? Please 👼
@@bungaIowbill don't let me down
27:06 Geoff is a warlock that his rice songs are able to address comments in real time
It was fucking fish scroll IRL
@@timgehrsitz3267lol yes 😂
geoff being genuinely embarrassed was cute lol, hopefully he didn't actually take it too hard
Finally someone did the research on geoff
Aw, another new fav of an episode, it's that after dark energyyy!! Also love when Geoff sings, this has gatta be another fav, love when the lyrics are sorta yelled and demanding something♥
I keep coming back to this episode in particular, it's just so good
Reading the comments before watching the videos feels like when my family is dying from an inside joke. without eventually filling me in after 5 minutes of waiting and smiling along.
There are so many kinds of joy to choose from.... let me name some.... jarred joy
I’m here to tell a true story. Last night, I had a dream that Geoffrey was hired to be on SNL. I saw it on his Twitter. He was thanking everyone and saying he’d look fondly on the days where he was just “Geoffrey the Dumbass”. Here’s the kicker; to mark his debut in the world of show business, he had adopted a new stage name: Tony Zero
No way they read this out in the next episode. This comment is certified Hall of SHAME.
@@jamesbrightman4990 i know it, when i saw the episode titled "Tony Zero" it was extremely bizarre like it came out of my dream
"okay, shoot your shot young buck"
I think of this everyday
Why was the rice song so romantic 😳 Geoffrey
To the tune of Neil Diamond’s ‘Sweet Caroline’:
Go to OMSB, my mouth begins to water
Right when I sense that smoky smell
Was it jasmine?
How did it get so soiled?
How would you like some spoiled grains?
Sand, it’s like sand
Seared and singed, looking burnt, tasting bad
I’m burning rice
And it’s covered in hoisin
But I’d still eat rice
If instead it was poison
But now I
Look at my wok and it looks really fucked up
Blackened and charred from all the grains
And when I cook
Heat turned up to one thousand
I just create a sticky mess
Soy, scorching soy
Carbonised, sticky rice, in my pan
I’m burning rice
Cook it ‘til it’s bad to eat
I still think rice
Is a lovely tasty treat
For someone
Past couple eps have been super solid, show really hits its stride when it’s everyone v Geoff
Also the “grits count as rice” moment is top 10 for sure
"Don't Cook Rice Fine" has really raised the bar... I just can't wait for the next song.
The pad time, pad Thai joke was surreal because I could like feel it coming right before it happened
We’ve all basically been brainwashed at this point
Miles is such a great get for Headgum. His energy just works so well with everyone
Geoff is slowly making the "Singed Bop" CD collection....so like "Kidz Bop" but charred.
This is the best episode I've seen of this pod so far
We love a Miles ep!
23:51 impeccable editing during this moment of silence and, well, violence
My favorite episode ever, perfect timing
Feels like the Pod' has finally found it's stride! this is a bad thing
Incredible episode. Thanks guys.
Geoff’s continued position as presenter of the product for the ad read is proof that the sponsors do not watch/ slash listen to the pod, which is well, fair
38:17 The random use of the new fart sound effect 😆
This is Geoff's John Mayer 2010 Rolling Stone Interview
All time episode
What a squad we’ve got here this week. Minus Geoff of course.
Episode of the year nominee, for SURE.
somehow missed this ep, and that song had me crying laughing. Can't even be ironic.
Geoff getting grilled over his interview has to be the best example of toasted refs over roasted Geoffs that I've ever seen.
164th times the charm - best episode so far!
Song start 24:35
2:37 Reilly’s improv instincts are too good not to catch on, she just didn’t want to give Geoff the attaboy
Ive had Dont Let Me Down stuck in my head all week. That felt like it was just for me
This is the best rice song no contest
This is my favorite episode to date
The rice album should be sold physically and come with exclusive geoff photocards but its just his boudoir photoshoot for hitting 10k twitter followers
27:27 for hoisin
That song was the best ever!!
PLEASE do more geoff interview quotes
I love Mel!
I am joy to see Reilly back on the pod
6 minutes in, what a great episode
The next liveshow will need a live band so Geoff can go off with his music during his comedy. Maybe sing something with rice.
Run as long as you want, geoffrey, "We didn't start the fire"will always be there, waiting to be charred.
The cameras were as unfocused as Geoff himself. And that's on god.
I Love when the podcast has that hollywood feel to it
If you u ever do record these in studio get miles in for a feature on this one
Cast of my dreams💞
I need Geoff-Reilly energy in every episode!
-Geoffrey James, Who Gives a Shit
Truly one of the best non-Marika episode. Thanks Geoff!
I think Reilly's the one Geoff is in love with
43:08 Reilly just set him up with a scenario with Melanie that he completely just flew through, then he stumbles with an awkward "Reilly and I are good friends...I don't know" man he got real nervous. Geoff, buddy :/
AND Reilance just jumps right into it with them. Their natural chemistry omg
I love when geoffs scrambling and just playing a millisecond of every sound effect
geoff cutting his camera because he's embarrassed has jerma energy
I swear to GO this made me laugh
I am glad this happened, sorry I listened
GRITS COUNT AS RICE
Geoffs whole career is based on jake and amir episodes. He's living the dream
Another banger? Is it just me or did this podcast become fun while I wasn't looking
21:37 - good to know that Geoff sees his position at the desk as an Oz-type tormentor/fraud
I’m confused so is this Headgum Before Light?
Can somebody tell me what the original song is?? It is so familiar but I just cannot place it
wondering the exact same thing
Dont let me down by the beatles and billy preston
I played clarinet cuz of squidward too
i have never laughed so much at a podcast episode before, thanks for making my day!
we need antother audit for this imposter this this this fool this john lennon
My absolute dream lineup
Real ones know Melanie from Tumblr
24:35
This surely is a turley
Geoff has a great voice!?
Seven nation Charmy
WHATS AD??
Whats the song his parodying?
Beatles - Don't Let Me Down

Headgum after dark soy, fish sauce, etc.
pursue adventure, find rice, and dont trust chefs
