It's been a good year for SPR videos, I've enjoyed them all immensely. Oh, and by the way, if you want to say Dizzy instead of Distributor, then that's what you should say. Part of videos like this is to educate and you can learn by watching and listening. If you do, you'll soon learn what a Dizzy is.
Many years ago, I was an apprentice motor mechanic. It’s great to see your relationship with your younger lads. I have never forgot my mechanics name John Rigby he did used to wind me up with a few practical jokes I got sent for the long weight and while fixing a clutch, he told me to nip up top and check it wasn’t in gear. USD $8k in 7 years for maint and repairs including tires. 2. 13 Audi A5 cab 25k -90k USD $19k over 9years. Very poor compared to 3. 05 Infiniti G35 MT 240kmi. $9k. 12 yr Observations 1. M&R Costs scale roughly with original MSRP. 2. Toyota much better on a cost per mile. 3. US Consumer Reports survey data on 10 year operating costs by manufacturer order is matched by these, but the MB and Audi exceed the median costs CR shows significantly. Lessons Learned 1.As a result, next cars if any will NEW, proven models with older base tech from Toyota. 2. Must find an excellent independent specialist garage like yours.❤☺️ Thank you.

I think you are wise in keeping the business at a size that can provide a quality of life that you deserve with all the hard work you put in. One thing for sure is that your apprentices will have a far more in depth understanding of a wide range of Mercedes cars than a technician apprentice in a main dealership. My only chagrin is that I would like to buy an older Mercedes but you are not available to service it for me ☹️ I hope 2025 will be great year for SPR Autos and wish you and your staff all the best. 🥂💥
Great channel and another great video, loved your comment about the best thing an owner could do to help preserve their CL500 , save !! LOL !! As a previous owner of a w220 S500 I can tell you that is sound advice. I paid for every bit of servicing in my 3 years of pain and still the car was unreliable as f*c@. Was relieved to be rid of it and the biggest shame is when it was going the ABC ride was fantastic. Anyway keep up the good work and never lose your sense of humour.

It is great to hear you are continuing with the channel in 2025 especially as you don't use it as marketing tool to promote the business directly. Watch these videos from Northern Ireland (part of UK by the way !!!) and bought a S124 12 years ago and have had three since as daily drivers. Now got a E350 estate and wife has B180. Bought both on mainland and the BClass at Mercland Great channel, Keep it going. 👍

Hi Sam I only found this channel early this year and have watched it ever since my wife owns a w211 e class 280cdi which HAD the dreaded judder after numerous garages said it was a gearbox fault and it would better to scrap the car🤦♂ however after going through your videos a new turbo sorted the problem. keep up the good work guys, competition, Andy Tait

Me, I've owned 4 Mercedes in my time, a 1983 W123 280CE, a 2001 C220 CDI (bought it brand new imported from Holland, fully loaded), then I moved abroad and bought a LHD W123 200d 1984, and lastly another 1983 W123 280E for when I returned back to the UK. As you can tell, I'm more an older MB fan than one of the modern MBs. I'm sooooo glad you're going to continue this channel, I love watching you fix things, explaining issues, and love your laid back, calm, relaxed approach to both video presenting and running a business. As you are aware there are several independent Mercedes specialists in Greater Manchester but only you seem to do proper factory four wheel alignment. When you get round to admitting new customers I would love to have mine checked (2013 W221 S350 CDI) 👍

This is a brilliant channel, watch it every week, my brother has W124, doesn't drive it much, its fully loaded too, he prefers driving his Toyota Mr2 turbo mk2, me personally, I wouldn't buy a Mercedes, I did want an S class but this channel has shown me how much of a money pit Mercedes are, even at low miles, so ill stick with my lexus ls400, but ill still watch the channel every week

A Class, just pray that the bonnet release cable never breaks, mission impossible. They built the MAF into the ECU on early ones, who thought of that one?

Happy New Year from Malaga. I moved back here in 2019 after 15 years in the UK, during which I always used a Merc specialist garage in Elland. Here unfortunately the specialist is too far away so I just have to use a local garage, and while they do end up getting the job done, without the specific experience the diagnosing stage can take so much longer. You're performing a vital service!

Hi Sam and Co. My current car is a C200, I've watched all your vids from the begining. Main point, at the start you we're pretty much talking like a zombie and now your natural in front of a camera. Well done! I have asked you a question before on YT and you kindly responded to it, Thank you for that! As I said back then, it's just a dam shame that you're not local to me otherwise I would be a new customer of yours. That being said, I've got a flight booked on this coming Monday from Bournemouth to Edingbourgh. The following morning I'll be picked up by a Merc main dealer from our hotel to collect my (new to me) car. I've dished the cash and purchased a 68 plate E63s with a measley 16k on the clock. I can't bloody wait! Needless to say the shake down will be the 454 mile drive home. Apparently, there are bets going around work that I won't make it home on one tank of fuel. I don't care if I do or don't. All I'm interested in is the smiles per gallon. Happy New Year to you all :)

This is a brilliant channel, watch it every week, my brother has W124, doesn't drive it much, its fully loaded too, he prefers driving his Toyota Mr2 turbo mk2, me personally, I wouldn't buy a Mercedes, I did want an S class but this channel has shown me how much of a money pit Mercedes are, even at low miles, so ill stick with my lexus ls400, but ill still watch the channel every week
Watching up in Scotland and never owned a Merc before but doesn't stop me watching a master at work ❤ I own a mini and looking to find a specialist for it as good as you lot are with the customers cars, onwards and upwards this 2025 🎉

A Class, just pray that the bonnet release cable never breaks, mission impossible. They built the MAF into the ECU on early ones, who thought of that one?

I moved back here in 2019 after 15 years in the UK, during which I always used a Merc specialist garage in Elland.
Here unfortunately the specialist is too far away so I just have to use a local garage, and while they do end up getting the job done, without the specific experience the diagnosing stage can take so much longer.

Hi Sam and Co. My current car is a C200, I've watched all your vids from the begining. Main point, at the start you we're pretty much talking like a zombie and now your natural in front of a camera. Well done! I have asked you a question before on YT and you kindly responded to it, Thank you for that! As I said back then, it's just a dam shame that you're not local to me otherwise I would be a new customer of yours. That being said, I've got a flight booked on this coming Monday from Bournemouth to Edingbourgh. The following morning I'll be picked up by a Merc main dealer from our hotel to collect my (new to me) car. I've dished the cash and purchased a 68 plate E63s with a measley 16k on the clock. I can't bloody wait! Needless to say the shake down will be the 454 mile drive home. Apparently, there are bets going around work that I won't make it home on one tank of fuel. I don't care if I do or don't. All I'm interested in is the smiles per gallon. Happy New Year to you all :)
