Slam would be a top genre if they could capture the live vibe in recording........Thats what always turned me off about Slam........Recordings always sounded paper thin........but live it sounds so MASSIVE! Slam production needs to be upped in the studio. This genre has great potential.......Lets make it meet the sonic bar. Edit - Im serious.....for Slam to be sucessful.......It must sound as massive as possible coming out of the speakers to be taken seriously. Its like the main thing about slam live is lost in recordings. I hate it. Devourment is a great band but you wouldnt know it If you just listen to the recordings. Stop trying to make your recordings sound like sh*t on purpose.😂😂 Peeling Flesh may be the first to break out of the type. I hope so. A lot of potential.
The Acacia Strain was like this for a long time, sounded so groove in the recordings but you'd see them live and would be like holy shit they're slam as hell, their recent album really brought down the house at bringing that sound into their recordings
