It is true , we engineers have to study more than 60 subjects in 4 years. But getting job in small industry also deficult. So it is better to close 50 percent of engineering colleges in India.

Learning mechanical engineering is good but job is equal to labour job in industries you will not get respect & learning is Pathetic everyone treated like beggar by providing meals in manufacturing industries
earning are not good what you except today's cost Maruti Suzuki,Hero honda few companies will provide good environment in workshop you will learn something from these companies. 80 percent people

CS depends on your coding skills, companies screen out candidates in the initial stage itself in order to ace the interview process.
Heavy competition..Industries require 8-10 skills in one candidate.!! How is it possible even? They need all 6-7 years of experience candidates only. The hiring person don't even know when was that technology even invented. Power bi was introduced in 2015..but people ask 8 + years experience in it!!! React js became famous post 2018.. Still companies ask 6 plus years experience in it. I mean, new technologies come in market, people learn it. But companies need experienced candidates only!! I was laughing last year when recruiter asked we need 8 years experience candidate for powerbi. I said in entire world you won't find any such person because powerbi is 7 years kid!! Like this many are there. And the English aptitude, maths etc absolutely harrassing candidates.. The companies won't realise not everyone can be equally skillful in many fields.. We can learn. I don't agree with you amar. I can give you my own example. I finished BE 9 years back. After BE I got an offer university of Indiana and Georgia university for an MS degree, since I scored in 9.1 in IELTS. But due to family problems, I couldn't go to US. Later I started my career in India and it has been successful career. If you overview my career I've worked with big MNC 's like NetApp, J P Morgan. During my professional career I got a chance to work in Sunnyvale in California and Singapore. Until very recently 3 years back I chose to come back to India due to some personal issues. This video is biased, to give 1 more example, Last time when I switched the company I had offer from 8 companies, 7 were service based and 1 was product based. Also, recently I got 2 offers for the role of AVP, and product director.

Super sir what you said is correct. Quality of Practical education is very low especially in government engineering colleges. Almost the lectures are focused on their completing PhD rather than giving right education to the students.There will be unnecessary assignments which wont help in future.

As a Structural Engineer from NYC these are my comments. There is a real disconnect between the education system and industries in India. The way to overcome is to get/give real-time projects and make students work on them. This enhances professionalism and skill development. Inturn, the professor, student and college can also make money while participating in the project. When I was studying at University of Cincinnati, I was working on a project that was funded by AISC. This was as a part of my master's thesis. In India this doesn't even happen at IIT level. I have seen some IIT professors working on real-time projects but the problem is they are not obligated to do that. Its like a Govt. job(even at private colleges), your are not required to prove yourself after you get your job. Most professors are non-competent or not skilled enough to write proposals and get real-time projects even when they have required human resources. So, there is no organic growth happening. And no law can force any growth. The only solution for this problem will be to make engineering colleges and professors more accountable.

I did Engineering. But didn't get job in IT companies. Finally joined non it company for IT maintenance and support work..Now doing graphic designing work for the company!! Also for future learning web development. The syllabus is completely changed. Many things we learned day and night in colleges are outdated and replaced with newer technologies.!! So again struggling day and night learning multiple courses for survival.!! But companies want only experienced candidates. Many recruiters dont even know when the technology came in market..Also the groupism is there inside industry. Candidates are underpaid. We spend lakhs but get only 10-15k job. If we question people say, money is not important. But we can't live without money. Also companies expect 8-10 skills in one candidate. As a result quality projects are decreasing.

Lets create a engineer's club because lawyer's and doctors have there own club for there need on any issues but engineers dnt have any club to descuss on it.

More than 10lakhs students pass out in a year,,,,, people with knowledge and skill will succeed in engineering field rest of them choose TH-cam, vlog, any work😂😂😂
The main reason is,these many Engineers are not actually required ..There is too much of supply than demand

If u are technically strong, then there is always a scope.
Quality output is not coming due to giving license to open more college.
Many colleges are belong to politicians and they giving seat to below average students and management involve in fraudulent activities during examination to make pass the below average student's.
From these students don't expect quality output finally they are in the field which is no where concerned to their studies.
I hope amar sir u r speaking about engineering job by keeping those type of students in ur mind.

And one more thing,
My aunt who completed her engineering in 2010 suggested me to join VTU as it was very good compared to other universities at that time in 2010
But now in 2020's VTU is completely different & everything is changed now
Atleast autonomous colleges under VTU is far better than complete VTU colleges
