  • If you’re feeling overwhelmed with all the TikTok digital marketing tips and advice, this video is for you.
TikTok has some really great videos that can teach you how to do just about anything, but let’s face it - there’s a lot of garbage in there, too. And if you don’t know any better it’s hard to tell the garbage from the gems.
I’ve been helping small businesses with their digital marketing for over ten years, and I’ve gotta say, some of these TikToks are actively ruining people’s businesses.
In this video, I’m gonna help you sort through the TikTok chaos and boost your business the smart way.

After watching several different episodes of Gary Vee tell small business owners that they should be posting 7-15x a day on each on social platform, I'm glad he was called out on it. As someone who works with local businesses, even the tech savvy ones just do NOT have that kind of time. Unreasonable expectation

Thanks Selda! Yea, I mean if you've got the resources he does to produce that much content go for it! BUt we have to meet reality on reality's terms here. No solopreneur running a business can keep up with that unless it was their sole focus.

Not to mention that most people don't have a content strategy. Most of the time they're thinking, "What do I post today?"
Coupled with that advice, they'll never reach burnout. They'll hit hopelessness first.

    • @netguy
      @netguy 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Gary Vee style isn't for everyone and he certainly should say that this can only work for a medium business that has a dedicated team.
I don't believe that the number of pieces of content will matter as much as the quality and the consistency
Where we small business owners usually get stuck is maintaining a consistent schedule to post even if it was just once a week.

I put prices on my website. A lot of people say I shouldn’t but I really don’t want to spend a call trying to convince them about my price. They’ll know from the get go

To be fair, I saw the Gary Vee clip in it's complete form, and he wasn't saying to post to every platform 12-16 times per day, but rather to do 3-4 pieces of content and then cross post to 3-4 different target platforms for a total of 12'ish posts per day. This should not be much of a burden, and if you're doing lead gen it may be the easiest part of your day.

I am new to posting and I can see this strategy as a goal to reach. Once I can do 1 post on multiple platforms correctly/predictably adding a second or third post seems doable: especially once I can create a content creation schedule based on product or topic.

Haha, that's me at 3:55. You're 100% right about the form! This video is a couple of years old now, and I distinctly remember the moment I realised that a detailed form to ensure a quality lead did not mean I needed a million questions 🤣. I should do an updated version of that video.

I don't have pricing info on my voiceover website, but that's because pricing voiceover is an involved process and I can't just throw out random numbers as it's entirely dependent on a variety of criteria of the project. I wish I could distill it down more simply and show pricing info, but it's just not realistic in this field. 🤷‍♂

you could offer preconfigured packages with information that anything on top of that needs to be priced individually

    1. We took over a social account for a restaurant that wanted to go from posting whenever someone remembered to daily posting. They lost 30% of their following when we started posting daily because people were sick of seeing them in the feed. As a consumer, I don't really want to see businesses in my feed all of the time. Had to convince them to scale back to 5 times a week, and now we are seeing growth.
    2. I hate this take because people think they own their audience on their rented platform.
    3. Do you have that source? It would be great to share that research with some folks around 3 questions
