For the people who are wondering about the yellow fleshed custard apple, it's the pond apple (annona glabra) which is a common fruit that grows in ponds and tastes really sour

I love custard apples, sweet and smooth better when chilled. My dad loves it with condensed milk. They don't drop off the tree when ripe so you have to cut the stalk that it's on. They are kind of rare depending on where you are in Jamaica.

i have a friend who have this fruit and it has a yogurt taste but sweetness is about 2-3, very low sweetness, so its literally like eating a yogurt, in taste and consistency.
he grew the tree from seed 20 years ago, the reason its not sweet is because using a seed for this is like gambling, you can get the best fruit or the worst, he got something
pretty interesting, the flavor is good, but there is very little sweetness, but the fruit is heavy, but i think the sweet one is also heavy, meaning after you eat one fruit you are full.

    • @WeirdExplorer

They were brown looking or dark maroon when they arrived, and you have to wait for them to turn from that deep maroon-ish color to the red before they’re ripe. But they were really incredibly pink inside!
