This was still fun to watch, but you did mess up the end of game rules in the first game. First, Dale is in no way required to give anything to the assistant. The very first time he acquires a painting that won't fit on the board he MAY give it to the assistant (if they aren't already holding a thing). If he doesn't give a painting to the assistant, he may exchange it with the museum for something he can place. Quoting from the rules:
"If they can't exchange the new painting (because there are no matching painting types in the museum that will fit on their gallery wall), they must store the painting beside their board as an excess painting. They then take a 1 point decor tile and place it normally. Each excess painting a player has costs them -2 points at the end of the game. If a player stores their second excess painting, the end of the game is triggered."
This means Dales should have been able to store a painting immediately after he placed his last painting and gotten the 1 point decor piece to finish filling his wall. This would have ended the game that turn and meant Dale missed out on a net +4 points (-2 for the stored painting, +1 for the decor gained, +5 points for completing his board). Instead, the other 3 players got two more turns to increase the value of their walls as Dale slowly stored paintings for -4 points to eventually end the game. I don't know if this would have been enough to offset the 27 points he was behind Matt and Kathleen, but it would have helped.
