Archaeological Collections

The State Museum of Pennsylvania’s archaeological collections date to 1906 and are among the most researched materials within the museum. The artifacts within this collection are the material remains left by people before present day. Janet Johnson, Curator from the Section of Archaeology at The State Museum of Pennsylvania, will discuss how these collections are used by archaeologists to understand and interpret the past and what has science contributed to our knowledge of these curated collections.
