Hello! I really enjoy your videos. I have been doing this for a few years now. I use my booths to off load anything that I bought to sell on eBay but then decided that because of time, effort and profit it would be better suited in my booth. I can definetly relate to death piles. You are right on about having a style and becoming known for that. Although my booth customers and eBay customers don't all like the same things, that's ok because I have more than one interest. I recently was able to get a much larger booth at another mall and that is where I intend to put alot of my death pile items. Then after I have managed to clear out the "not really me or my style" items, I plan to sort of "recreate and re-evaluate" my businesses and style, hopefully avoiding a new death pile (haha). Thank you again for all the great motivation! Kindest regards. PS I would encourage everyone to shop their own death pile for the next 30 days, buy at least 90% of your stuff from you. You will be glad you did. 🙂
Great advice!
Tip on the salvage pile: Price it and put it in your booth. You can always pull it out if you have time and motivation to paint it or whatever.

I’m embarrassingly overwhelmed. I’m a renter and I have not lived in this place- my lease ends April 2025- it has served as storage.
My dog- Butterscotch only wants to play upstairs in the bedroom because that is the only area that is clutter free and she’s able to run around.
My remedy:
I’m on a purchasing freeze
I am going to unbox 2 boxes or more per day- price it, donate it or toss it.
I will have to have sales to move merch expeditiously because I still have a packed storage unit to wrangle.
Goal Date:
October 2024 my home will be livable and I can allow family to visit.
Storage unit cleared out by December 2024
SN: my therapist said clutter/hoarding is often seen with patients who have PTSD and/or trauma. She said a lot of veterans have this problem.

Over 20 years doing this with many booths at one time. My number one advice is, do what you love because if you love it someone else will love it. Have an identity and keep track of what sells and keep that in stock. Not having enough in your booth can be as bad as having clutter. I’m still learning as times change! But I stick to what I love. It has worked out for me.

Perfect timing, once again! When I return from vacation, I am attacking my death piles. I also plan to go through all the decor and serving items that I have decided to keep for myself and reevaluate.
Absolutely!!! I just yesterday decided to pull out one of my bins a listed a few vases on eBay. One sold one for $200. in 5 minutes! It’s gotten me very encouraged to attack my “many” death piles and start cleaning up! Thanks for the encouragement. It’s very much appreciated!

I would love an update of what you learned! I struggle with storage of overflow inventory. I don’t have a basement but I have a barn. It’s very dusty but maybe I could put stuff together and cover it with drop cloths or plastic?

Its funny you are talking about this- for the last 2 weeks I have been going through my "piles" and either taking them to my booths or filling boxes to donate. I try to go through my stuff every few month to see what needs to head to my booths or to my favorite thrift stores. Its funny how you can take something home for a while then as soon as you bring it back it sells! I love all your tips and tricks! Your booths look amazing!!

So you suggest that just because records and comic books sell well for other vendors that I shouldn't have them in my booth because I don't really like or care for them? That makes sense! I will have to do a walkthrough of my booth to see what I really don't like! I honestly like things that are geared for girls! Kitchen, vanity, sewing, books, etc. I am not really into guy geared items! I do have 2 separate booths! One for each guys and girls! It's so much easier for me to find and like the girl type items! I struggle with guy items! I have the opportunity to do a total makeover in each room! I am on the fence though! I can still have it separated, or I can mix it all! I haven't decided on what I want or need to do!
Wouldn't it be easier and make you happier? Do that.

You won’t believe the piles I found
Hi! I might be interested in joining the group but I’m not sure how beneficial it will be/ if I’ll make enough extra because of it to justify the cost. I would love to know more about the types of people who feel that they benefit from the group; maybe some testimonials and representative member profiles?
I like items that just dont seem to sell! Vintage dolls and collectors plates! I would love to have some of these in my booth because i like them! Is that wrong? I feel that would be wasted space! Ugh!
You should buy and sell what you like. But if you have a niche not very popular you will need to advertise more to get your people to find you. There are buyers for everyone.
So there is a list that tue owner gets from customers as to what they are looking for. Many of these items are items i am not interested in! So dont go buy them just because they are wanted?
You can ask your buyers what they want on social media. You can check the list of what you sell. You can ask the cashier's up front. Always stock what YOU love, but if something is hot or in demand and it goes with what you sell make sure to have it.
