    Dear Grisha! You are so wonderful as a guitarrist, musician, human being that I truly think you are Paco’s reincarnation! The only one who can play at the same heavenly level! God bless you!

    You mentioned in a live that your channel is struggling - if you want to grow you have to look into content creation, script writing, SEO, business etc. (Im not here to sell you anything, just some ideas and heartfelt advice because I plan on launching my own youtube channel in a couple months and Im writing this to myself as much as I am to you because I need to verbalize my newly found knowlege)
    Its almost whats necessary for youtube nowadays, but its all about if you want to put the work into it. If you do that and stay consistent with your upload schedule and content then you will grow, but you would to put some serious effort in and time which you might not have. You would need ideas for what exactly to do on this channel that will bring in new people (not necessarily into flamenco) and keep them watching, otherwise you're near your market cap as there arent many flamencos in general and even less so those that are on youtube. One way to expand and that would be easier for you is to use your talents to work for you, but also grab a new audience - that could be done by playing classical guitar pieces and uploading them consistently, but I understand that playing classical and uploading it is scary, though that way you wouldnt have to do any talking in front of the camera.
    Growing a channel to a significant amount is just like any other skill - probably needs a couple hours a day of work, watching interviews of other people who really made it on here, maybe even learning how to write scripts for videos, which might put a lot of people off because its not what they want to do, and thats fine. Its all up to you, im just giving ideas.
    P. S. All the excuses people use for guitar apply to youtube like
    1. it's hard to succeed (it takes time and effort and deep work)
    2. there are already a lot of youtubers/guitarists (the market is saturated)
    3. im too old/young to start (this is just wrong)
    4. i should have started 5 years ago (theres a saying: the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is now)
    5. I cant do it because of x (you probably can, but its just not appealing to you, thats why most people quit guitar, the practice sessions can be super dull or it IS appealing to you and you're scared, which needs to be overcome)
    Best of luck Grisha

      Small correction: "the second best time is now"

  • @TheSoteriologist
    @TheSoteriologist 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is _brilliant_ ! *But again:* too brilliant ! The first minute up to 1:15 for instance: you started out _beautifully_ but your power then tends to carry you away into a constant fortissimo where it's all full of notes and not enough space between them. Also in the piece after that I think you have to learn to wait like the zen archer waits for the arrow to shoot itself, especially in the quieter parts where the finger would be more musical than using the nails too aggressively. More variation in that regard would increase the musical value enormeously than permanent demonstration of power, dominance and speed.
    Sorry, just an informed opinion. Tell me if I am getting on your nerves, I will delete my comment immediately.
    *Wait,* I have a therapy for you: listen to some David Russell _(my favorite classical guitarist at the moment)_ playing _Bach_ in these Spanish cathedrals _(channel Omni Foundation)_ . In fact, maybe _you_ should start playing Bach ! Perhaps it makes you fall asleep :D May I ask you study some Bach work and upload it for everyone to hear ? I would _really_ like to hear what you and Bach can make of each other. You could motivate yourself by just beating Elliot Fisk's Bach which shouldn't be too hard :D My idea is that Bach slows you down inwardly and reach into the subtler regions in your heart. In fact, try to interpret Bach _as slow as possible_ and set a new standard in that regard ! Just for fun.
    7:00 and 8:24 and 8:36 - 8:42 Nice ! Way to go. But _more_ of that !!

    • @Grisha_Goryachev
      @Grisha_Goryachev  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I understand what you are saying. I do not play these pieces the same way all the time. I experiment a lot. The granadina you referred to is not something I play more than a couple of times a year, so my memory of it is not ideal, so I tense up mentally and it transfers itself into my fingers. I was invited to join David Russell for dinner (just him him and a festival organizer), but had to decline in favor of practicing for the concert next day. I regret that decision.
