I got the skiff a month ago and I have it on display in my room. And not ganna lie I enjoyed building it especially the new building techniques. My favorite part about it is the thing in the back that turns the cannon and I can hold it, push the vehicle, while turning the gun..this is is absolutely amazing
The Skiff is actually in the game, you can find wrecks of it sitting around in the open world. No-one ever drives it unfortunately, but I heard about cut marine captive patrols, my guess is that they would have been held in the bay of these vehicles.
I've had this set preordered on Amazon for a while, and it keeps getting pushed back, but looks like it will definitely be worth the wait. I really like the profile of this one - I like how it sits low to the surface. Feels like a really condensed transport which is cool. Interesting seeing it compared to the Prowler - didn't realise they were near enough the same size. Thanks for the great in-depth review as always, mate!
Great review Brickman! Enjoyed it as always! I loved this set as soon as I saw pictures for it (probably bc I'm biased and loved the Prowler in Halo 3). Im a sucker for troop carriers so this set was a high priority for me to get.
Wow this is a great set, I didn't know the turret gimmeck is there and it's "hidden" so well at the exhaust. Mega has come a long way I'd say the quality is near on par with Lego and the cost is much better than Lego imo.
This is a good set, deffinately the less popular of the wave but I think it's because of its lack of appearance in the game unfortunately. Great build, great figures, great parts and a fun build, and as you say, doesn't break the bank either. Great feedback, thank you, always appreciated.
Again it's really good to get a close look at this. I really like it. It's unusual but also looks dirty, ugly and looks 'functional' to do a specific job (although I'm only guessing it is some form of troop carrier). A really nice design that reminded me of the Prowler as well (which I also like). I also really like the Brutes. It'd be great with MCX did a 'Brute pack' like the incoming 'Marine platoon' pack.
My only gripe is that if its based on the prowler then it should have a similar engine. In game the prowler had large spinning gears in it's body. This seems to be powered by a different technology, the thruster on the back and the anti grav propulsors underneath. I guess its based on newer technology but it has traditional brute aesthetics

It looks like they took a brute prowler and modified it so the most armored spot was hollowed out for troops. I did it knowing a ton of weapons/vehicles from infinite are coming from concept art designs already seen or designs that are entirely new with heavy inspiration from the original Bungie era designs
I'd rather buy 2 or more of the leaked ghost sets and another mongoose for around the same price. Or another banshee and ghost instead. The only thing to me thats good about this set are the figures the pair of brute warriors are great along with the recon spartan and banished grunt but again I can army build in a more cost effective way if I buy multiple of the ghost sets, the figures are great and so is the build.
There's a new set that got leaked that includes a brute, two grunts, and a new spartan armor type, as well as a ghost. That one will probably be better for army building, though I definitely want to get at least one of this set, I love the mark VII spartan.
Cpt. Riptide yeah this set is amazing! I can fit a dozen aliens inside, being grunts jackals elites and brutes. And the ghost set is gonna come out and distribute exactly like the mongoose set, and it is also going to be $15. So it should be at Target come next January/February when it is released to the public
I just hate the turret piece, I don't know why people like those pieces, I would rather put a normal covenant plasma turret. I just hate stud and projectile shooting pieces. The only time I would agree with it, is if it was for a bigger or it doesn't change the overall look of the set like the mammoth or the mega turret. This sets "turret" is not good for me, its the only thing that I would change with a normal plasma turret.
Kinda ironic how it’s the Elites that as a culture are more samurai like but brutes seem to get armors that actually look like samurai armor lol

It is going to be in the game. It is just undrivable, just like the Scarab or the Mammoth.
