I just want to say thank you. I have been out of school since 1993. I decided to go back and try to get into a college for nursing school. I had to take a math placement test. When I took the practice test I knew I would be starting at the beginning math course. I started watching your videos and the way you teach is so amazing how you break everything down and explain it in such a way that after watching your videos and studying that I was able to pass the math placement test and scored so high that I don’t have to take any prerequisite math course. So thank you so much! I would recommend your videos to anyone.
Where were you 30 years ago!:) I failed Fractions and percentages and never even looked at Algebra, I have a my daughter (12 yrs old getting Tutored ) and she is amazing me everyday the forward steps she is taking in these subjects. So i thought i better have a look on th good old TH-cam and see what it is all about.
I watched a few and sure they were good.
But you are the MAN!! Thank you for the gift you have just given me and opened my eyes-to Maths. Once I was terrified by these and now just seeing it so easy! Its 1am here in Aussie and Im looking forward to watching more later today and really getting my head right around it.

It reminds me of chest..you have to remember which way the chest pieces go..same here keep practicing you will pass it..you stay up all night and play video games and girls right? Wel you can do it for your future stay up and practice (Tough Love) you can do it..

I love algebra now ! 👌taking my ged test on the 18th of this month . A day before my late grandma’s birthday . I thought I would have luck but after I leave class (lately ) I haven’t been feeling really confident and was planning on rescheduling my test until after the New Years . Having “third” thoughts 💭 (being that I’ve been thinking about doing the test that day , rescheduling , and now having confidence after watching this video ) now . ☺️ If that made sense

I am 66 and have had two strokes. I have brain fog from fibromyalgia and long Covid. I listen to the same lessons over and over until I get the concept. This teacher does not talk down to us. I listen to everything from this to trigonometry to calculus. I'm a fetal alcohol baby with ADHD but love math because it doesn't matter where you came from, what gender, color, age, etc you are, math is the same. It's RATIONAL and REASONABLE and FAIR. Great instructor.
This is an amazing class. I like that you give us examples of how to perceive these numbers and how to distinguish what is meant by the terminology used to describe the numbers. Jason Jason where were you when I was taking algebra in high school. I barely passed algebra one and failed algebra 2 and had to take it over in summer school. I believe the main reason that I didn’t do well in these classes is because I didn’t understand the basic concepts which you make it so easy to do so. I went on to college and the only time that I needed to have a tutor was when I was in graduate school and had a statistics course and I was in a class of 140 students and I couldn’t ask any questions so I had to get a tutor then I did fine. I believe all students high school or college should take your course it really does help

It is about breaking the barrier. She got held up at the chapter on algebra at grade 5. Revising and teaching basic algebra helped her to like maths.
Maths is like climbing a staircase for students
If they miss one step, they would think maths is difficult. If they miss 2 steps, most would give up. Just say maths is easy.

Not to nitpick, but the term rational in mathematics is derived from ratio. They’re called rational because they’re numbers that represent a ratio of two integers.
So detailed and easy to follow. This would be an excellent video to help with a student needing help that is in public school or homeschool. Great job!
