Israeli university provosts, including BGU Rector Prof. Chaim Hames visited the ravaged Kibbutz Be'eri where 130 residents were murdered by Hamas during the October 7th massacre.

I saw it suggested elsewhere that one of the devastated kibbutzim should be left untouched as though frozen in time, to help people remember and never deny what happened that day. A bit like a small French village was deliberately kept this way by order of the French government, as the Nazis came in and murdered people and burned them in a church. Nobody denies what happened to the French town, but minimise/downplay what happened to Jews in their homes in Israel.
