- Israeli university provosts, including BGU Rector Prof. Chaim Hames visited the ravaged Kibbutz Be'eri where 130 residents were murdered by Hamas during the October 7th massacre.
Certainly spoke for me and my family.
I saw it suggested elsewhere that one of the devastated kibbutzim should be left untouched as though frozen in time, to help people remember and never deny what happened that day. A bit like a small French village was deliberately kept this way by order of the French government, as the Nazis came in and murdered people and burned them in a church. Nobody denies what happened to the French town, but minimise/downplay what happened to Jews in their homes in Israel.
