Ok WM801, here's my post-S15 scene. Background: Carter's divorce has finalized, and his "good friend" Susan invites him out for a drink. To his mild surprise she orders them champagne, as a way of turning it into a positive marker of new beginnings. She explains that she's never really toasted her status as a free agent, either. Susan: To freedom! (They clink glasses. Carter shrugs and drinks. They pause and reflect.) Susan: Hey, remember when we had champagne on the roof that time? Carter: Ah...ha. Yeah. (Nods.) My first lumbar puncture. (Pause.) Carter: (Squints, remembering.) As I recall, you looked stunning. Susan: (Laughs.) Oh...yeah. My birthday. It got canceled. (They pause and smile with warmth at each other and their shared history. Carter involuntarily raises his eyebrows in that way that he does. They stare for just a beat longer than is friendly.) Susan: (Looks at glass, then back at him.) Why didn't we, Carter? Carter: Why didn't we... Susan: Sleep together. *Have sex.* Carter: (Chokes on his drink.) Oh...ho. But with Masking this is when the Keyframes come into play. Alot of the fic writers I saw mainly just focus on characters relationships. They threw some medical in there but not to much. I think most fans was have issues writing for it because of the details. You should maybe try writing a short story on a favorite character to test it out. In throw in a few cases to see how it goes.
I always thought that after the end of S15 they were totally free to get together for serious this time. Especially since the Kem ship sank. God I hated Kem.
Their ending specially Carter was so open. Did he ever Call? Was him running back to the ER permanent? Never Know. Kem my issue with her was she strung him along for years. I get the tragedy, but let him go if you cant look at his face no more. She treated him like a constant reminder of the lost of the baby. In then kept giving him hope.
@@Moviechick801 what I hated was how she was pushed as this "pure perfect love" Carter found somewhere else but didn't have the depth of everyone else he was around with beyond "oh well she works so hard for the sick people there", but in practice it came off as just another of his hookups that somehow was overblown at the same time Carter was being treated as a Gary Stu in S10. At least in S15 it all seemed like he was content back home in Chicago, tacitly telling us he was better off home.

Susan and Carter did casually date a little when she got back in season 8. It lasted about 6 episodes. It never was really serious, and they didn't have a baby. Now Susan and Mark shared some looks. But they stayed friends. They never got a chance to date.

Do to the fact that the show did not kill of Nurse Hathaway..And Julinia was starting to get the better roles..And Sherry just wanted to be happy .. No dont do that. You keep living for your mom she would want you to. Everything can be a struggle, because you lost your rock. I lost my father a few years back and went threw my ups and downs. You never forget, but you have to keep going. In hang on to the memories for comfort.
