If your wondering about the part where she describes her baby and not having it be what she wanted. It was describing postpartum depression which is where the mother becomes extremely distraught, depressed, and in some cases unable to find the ability to love there child. It's a very scary mental disorder that can happen to any mother.

Remember at the start when he said "We lose things all the time" that could mean Callum was either never born or died earlier on in Lorane's life, notice how the entire place is rusted and looks abandoned, that's because this was the last place she spent time with her son before he died, this entire game is Lorane trying to accept that her son is dead, and when she stabs him with the ice pick finally that is her accepting the truth.
i believe she suffers from postpartum depression, or postpartum psychosis. whilst she's definitely showing signs of untreated postpartum depression, postpartum psychosis is rarer, and cases of it usually end in the mother purposely killing, or causing extreme harm to her baby; in some cases, other young children she's had may also be harmed, or fatally wounded. i'm guessing this game is exploring the guilt, and trauma caused by her supposedly killing the child. the abandoned theme park-"world of dreams," she described.-could also be reference to the postpartum depression, and how she perceives motherhood. dunno, just a thought.

It's interesting to watch The Park again. The mom's issues with Callum are a real thing some parents go through. My aunt has an attachment disorder where she was unable to form bonds with people. It wasn't that she was a bad mother by choice, she couldn't love her kids. (Not excusing her abuse though) She could only really bond with animals. It's really interesting to watch The Park again, and

A huge part that I liked about this game was that it deals almost purely in psychological storytelling. It's more of a video novel than it is an actual game in that regard. It encapsulates something that actually effects people in real life (postpartum depression) and uses the park as a metaphor for Lorraine's personal detachment from her son, ultimately leading her to supposedly murder him in the darkest recesses of her mind and in actuality. Some of the best horror stories usually take things from the skewed perspective of a narrator who's not entirely there (unstable, psychologically speaking) and superimpose their thoughts on the reader rather than simply telling things like they are. The point is to build up more suspense because it's not a "normal" person you're trying to relate to but rather the insight of a killer you're learning about (i.e. "YOU'RE THE BAD GUY!").
but if there another ending. the pills take or don't take changes the ending.
The bumper car running straight to the character reminded me of when I was in a bumper car. I had collided with someone in thier own bumper car not realizing that the operator was standing on the floor and his legs was mildly crushed between the 1 foot metal bumper wall. I apologized after the fact, but he was looking at me like it was my fault he was standing in the floor where he shouldn't be. He quickly learned not to be standing on the floor though.

I enjoyed this game back when it came out! It's definitely not the scariest game by today's standards but the story was interesting trying to figure out what exactly was happening by the end of the game xD

Like somebody posted below, not sure of the exact time, but the mom seems to have postpartum depression. Some mothers are supposedly so scared of being judged for not feeling love for their child(ren), when they have ppd, that they hide it with false love. Some get diagnosed and get it treated and are fine, but some still have it even after getting it treated. I might be wrong, though.

The door said "All That You Love Will Be Carried Away." When it went by quickly. Another one said "I Can Taste Your Dreams."
Hands down one of my favorite horror games. It's like among the sleep, mixed with it's own horror, and that up the escalator scene changing everything truly sets the tone. God, the swan jumpscare, and the invisible horror aspects like the park is alive but hiding it. Perfectly sets up the concept of everything being a terrored illusion to real life. I usually hate these types of games because I want real horror, not imaginary, but this nails that.
The mother true mistake was not seeking therapy for her depression and her past, which only progressed to get worse over time

She did. That’s what all of the electrical shock therapy was (since it took place in the 80s and it was still kinda popular). But as we know it makes mental illness worse.

I like the theme, but they made it a bit too obvious what was going to happen way too soon. Maybe it was trying to go for the approach of the player's denial that it couldn't possibly be her even if they did make it obvious, but that's not quite how it played out. There were a lot more moments of her being negative about him rather than positive

I just made hot popcorn, buttered it up, including salted it up, sat down, Stretched, turn on my fan, put this on Original screening, layed down, and drank a cold water bottle at night alone. Best thing to do while watching my best TH-camr ever. And that's you FusionZGamer. :)

I remember years ago finding this game when Markiplier played it so, here I am, 10:22 at night with a coffee and a bowl of cereal. Ready to watch another amazing TH-camr play this cool game.
Wow Nostalgia hit like a truck. Always remembered from watching Mark play, to myself playing it, and then Fusion playing always was a mixed bag to me, the idea of this game is good but the execution was just lackluster and the ending was meh, still tho a very intriguing game
Currently 9:18 PM. Plus it's dark in my room. Gotta have the most atmospheric lighting I can. As for the game itself, I've seen other TH-camrs play it before but it's nice watching it again.

Well it's 2:30 am here when I finished and I will say the scariest thing in this game was the mother's thoughts. Definitely was more of a story game then horror but still a cool game in concept.

Jeez, Fusion, here you were in a gameplay loop ripped straight out of P.T. expecting a jumpscare but you didn't click on all the interactive clues that you pass that would tell the story of the protagonist. Honestly!
Well I agree with you but if he had more time I’m sure he would because I’m pretty sure they have a time limit for when they should upload so they don’t skip a day but if he had more time he def would read more ik it’s about 1 hour long but he probably only had an hour plus editing that takes long so he just didn’t have enough time to read them without going over his time schedule

The ending lines were in my heart and min I always return to Atlantic island park and the beginning words were the same thing so it’s kinda like the outsiders book where the guy said where was the last time you saw your son so it always returns there so its like you were going back to her memories
