I grew up in Carmichaels, PA and was in the marching band in high school and marched in the parade for 4 years. This was always my favorite. We were able to go to the festival for a couple of hours before heading home.Over 30's years ago and still remember how much fun it was! Thanks for the memories😊

We go every year. John was been to the Buckwheat Festival for over 50 years. The only time he didn't go was in 2020 because they didn't have it because of covid. 😎😎
Salt and vinegar fries are the best, love ‘em! That pizza looked like a real good bar pizza. There’s a place at our local farm market that makes them like that. The problem with going to the fair is you come with a full wallet and an empty stomach and leave with an empty wallet but a full stomach. Looks like you had fun. The best pizza 🍕 I’ve ever had was at Anthony’s in Clear Lake, Texas. I have no idea if it’s still open but when I was a kid you could buy a huge slice for $2.50 that was bigger than my face.

Wow you watched our old one. We did get them a few days later they are sold at the local Walmart now. $1 a piece now. Bobbi, I don't like shoo fly pie either so you're not the only one. The shoo fly cake is ok. I don't like all that gooey molasses on the bottom. I grew up around them all my life up here in central Pa. My Mom loved them.
We love our fries with vinegar too..that spray bottle was genius! I still crave the pizza I grew up eating too...in my mind it's the best and have never found another one like it..The Elmton, in Struthers Ohio...Florida is not known for good pizza...lol. Nice community!
