That dragon link player could have won by crashing into the spirit of yubel twice due to chaos angel protecting all monsters on their field from battle.
He also Mislethaled twice, he could’ve either used recharger to recharge back triple burst which is a negate in the damage step or just banished goddess, shuffle it back then resummon using the chaos angel
Even if he thought that, it still didn't matter when he chained it to Noir. If he just didn't activate it is one thing, but chaining it just proved even more he had no idea what was happening

They should have comfortably won that game from that point onwards with snowballing advantage, but they threw so badly lol

During the Branded vs Snake-Eye duel in game 2 they would've gone Ash send into Poplar instead of Oak. Poplar can get you OSS which then leads you into a much more versatile lines of play than simply going S:P pass and going into a top deck war. Likely summon Oak off of OSS, Oak reborn, then Oak into Flamberge with Linkuriboh on the field and build your board from there. Kinda cool how one small misplay can affect the entire outcome of a duel like that.
I find it ironic that a Stun deck is out here proving that going second CAN be viable if you build around it, since most people just think of those as decks that can only do anything when going first. If anything, that just proves people aren't trying hard enough to make decks that can handle losing the coin flip.

So now you're just gambling on the mill 3 from scream but actually no you aren't because zeus will just chain send to the GY so now the only thing they have is a trap search and reino can't reborn because no cards in hand at time of him being sent for effect. So basically they were dead even harder if they did that lol
Plasma and even Jowgen can actually be used as board breakers in the right situations going second. Technically so can Fossil Dyna, but nobody really uses that one for its Flip effect anymore.

Case and point the first tear player vs the lab tear player. The deck only has one card that straight lucksacks and that is tear kash because it has 0 consistency or fusion effects it just straight mills
