Russian Fishing! This is easily one of my favorite fishing games. The realistic feel, the variety of tackle/bait choices, the RPG aspect of the game...I love it all. Excited to see this series progress!

Yep, we have almost finished playing Fishing Planet, so that’s why we’re not going to be playing it too much in the future. We’ll always work towards the last map, and do monster missions, but we’ll play other games too.

i absolutely hate the starter spinning reel. In that spot you are on, if you pause and reel a bit here and there, chubs of 2kg+ hit it and take the line like crazy, to a point where it goes around the corner out of view running the spool out. It takes 2 game hours to land a 2kg-2.5kg that I caught having to let the line run out when it pulls. The reel has no power and bad gear ratio and barely reels in the fish when it's not pulling. On top of that, with full tension after fighting it for a long time, fish is lost happens. It just "goes away".
TIP: to float fish on WInding, you cast against the current and hold the rod as it floats with the current then retrieve when the line is taught and re-cast. You don't want it sitting with the bait floating at an angle like that, you won't get hits. Caught 41 fish that way while having to get up and down from the game.

Definitely can be difficult, I’ve lost a few fish that way, that is for sure! Some take some patience and definitely some movement to follow the fish downstream and tire it out with such low quality equipment.

Yeah and of you go 20kg mono leader to spin Chubs and perch, you'll get a pike that will cut it. If you go steel leader, bite rate goes down immensely. Vicious circle. Lol
