    You got an interview! You're getting SO close to your DREAM of getting into PA school! Now all you have to do is interview better than a few other people and you're in, right? Let's make that happen.
    In this video, I reveal the things I had written down in the notebook I brought with me to the PA school interview that landed me a spot in the class of 2021. I spent hours online and on the phone with current students from the program getting as much intel as I could. Looking up mock interview questions and answering them in the mirror. Memorizing facts about the school and the PA profession, and memorizing my CASPA application and personal statement nearly word for word.
    Do you have to do all of that? Probably not. Should you prepare more than the average student? Absolutely. I hope this video helps you, and if you have any questions or other interview tips to share with other pre-PA students, please post a comment below!

    I thought the first PA program was created in 1967?

    • @BorisThePA
      @BorisThePA  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      the first class was put together in 1965 and they graduated in 1967 (www.aapa.org/about/history/) so yes, the "birthday" of the PA profession is October 6, 1967 (circulatingnow.nlm.nih.gov/2016/11/15/the-birth-of-the-physician-assistant/#:~:text=The%20first%20PAs%20graduated%20from,expanded%20as%20similar%20programs%20opened.)

      @@BorisThePA Thanks for replying Boris! I have an upcoming interview and will certainly be using your tips.
      Another question, the schools which I have an interview for is a for-profit PA program. I was wondering if you had any advice for attending a for-profit school. The school is fairly new and is provisionally accredited. I was wondering what sort of red flags should I be cautious about and what statistics should I consider before attending this school?
      Thanks!
