    I love how every time she gets a question he turns and faces her so that she has someone she can look to while talking instead of having to just blankly gaze out into a faceless crowd.

    Bo Durham is like the internets big brother. He thinks we're cringy but he knows that we know we're cringy. And can hate us but appreciates us and loves us in a way that nobody else does.

    A sad comedian running around New York City. I love bo’s ability to look back on his previous work and use it as an example of progress without diminishing it or making it seem like it wasn’t important. He is so willing to grow and change without hating on himself from 5 years ago you know

    Bo is so great and revolutionary in terms of improve on an existing genre of stand-up. He was motivated many including me to keep uploading videos. I used to be a fat shy kid in Catholic school and thanks to his inspiration I’m now a skinny shy adult who can fake confidence for 10% of a video.

    I think this was a really great movie, very true and down to earth. Loved it. I am against feminism, but this is how I think female characters should be, not a caricature copy of a male character, to be "strong", but focus on the natural strong points of female characters, like Bo did. This is original, and the important point of the character is the character in itself, not her gender, which is just used as a vehicle to tell a better story, because this story wouldn´t work as well with a boy, as it would be less believable.
    And believability is a core element in a Slice of Life story like this. This is not about action or an intriguing plot, but about mood and immersion in very tiny moments. Thats very difficult to archive, but with the amazing attention to detail, great acting and a good cast, they were able to achive their goal. Eighth Grade is without a doubt a masterpiece.

      @@zazu2006 Spoiled Apples are Apples, don´t exclude them, because you don´t like their taste.
      I am against Feminism, I am not against Women. Feminists speak for Feminists, not for Women.

    • @MrFusselig
      @MrFusselig 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@starlesscitiess No! There are so many misconceptions in your statement.
      First: Humans don't have rights, they create rights by the legitimation and enforcement of rights.
      I see no evidence, that society disadvantages women, but that men an women are different in nature, and they are facing different challenges. Feminism denies this differences, blames the patriarchy for it and tries to eliminate differences by force and ideology. This is harmful to both, men and women.
      A human right that does not acknowledge human nature, will be harmful to humans and their nature. I do not see, how such a concept can be a step into a better society if it creates suffering.

    • @MrFusselig
      @MrFusselig 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@starlesscitiess And this is the core of the problem. Feminists believe that gender roles are an invention of the patriarchy to suppress women. But they are not. They are partially natural, partially cultural, and it is very difficult to tell, to which degree.
      If there is a difference in the male and female mind, this difference will manifest in different behavior. Different behavior will manifest itself in different statistics of societal outcome.
      What feminism is doing now is to select a few of this measurable differences, in which women are in the disadvantage, and take this as evidence that the patriarchy exists, and that it needs to be smashed to establish a fair world. While ignoring other forms of explanations, while ignoring other selected statistics in which men are on the disadvantage (just by saying that men suffer from patriarchy as well, and they need to become a feminist allies, while offering no systematic explanation on why these men suffer from patriarchy.)
      And also ignoring ignoring gender role differences where feminist theory makes no sense. I expect better from a theory that claims from itself to be leading theory to explain gender differences!
      For example, please explain to me, why about 90% of the Darwin award winners, which is a "fictional award" of people who die by stupid behavior are men?
      Are men who end their life by stupidity are taught taught to do so by society? Then it should be seen as something glorious and good, but it is not. On the other hand, who is holding back all that women, who could join this glory of ending their life by a stupid accident? As a feminist, you should be able to explain to me, what the role of the patriarchy is here at the Darwin awards.
      To make it short, feminism does not understand human nature. For this reason it does have an invalid perception of how society works as a whole. Still feminism wants to enforce its idea on how society should work onto people. This will fail and cause suffering.
