There's always someone out there jealous and unthankful with life that will not like. Is ok we must send prayers on their way so God and Jesus can lead them on the path of love, empathy, thankfulness and appreciation.
Or the ones that depend on mermaid tale fondant mold. She did it from a DIY template! I will do that for my grandkids christening and birthday with different sizes. CLEVER IDEA!
Absolutely beautiful, thank you for sharing your talent! My daughters having a mermaid birthday party and I’m planning on making her a cake like this but not quite as big 😜
This is beautiful!!! Thank you so much for taking your time to share your beautiful work with us ! I’m going to make this cake for my baby girl’s first birthday!
My dream cake for my daughter's 3rd birthday. May I ask how many circles you've prepared for the base cake? the ones with colors teal, gold and violet.
Thank you for a great tutorial! I will be making my first mermaid cake soon, this is such a great help! May I ask what brand of gel colours you used for the teal on the top tier? Thank you again! 😊
This is sooooo cute.. u explain everything and made it simple.. one question if u don't mind i askin, what do u do with your cakes..? I mean are they for family and friends or do u take orders..?
Faaneesa Elemoodeen Thank you!! Some of them go to friends or I make them for an order, I rarely keep them since everyone in my house has had their fill of cake haha
Gorgeous cake and very skilled hands! I want to make my daughter's birthday cake in a month from now but I'm kind of worry (I've been practicing with the fondant but I notice after a few minutes starts losing its shape). How can I avoid this from happening. I don't want my daughter's birthday cake to start "melting" after an hour goes by. Thank you
Hi there, love watching all your cake videos! Your cakes are so pretty. I have a question though, can we put fondant covered cakes in fridge? I've always been hearing that it's not advisable to put fondant cakes in the fridge. What is your opinion?
Thank you very much! I think a lot of factors go into whether or not you can put your fondant cakes in the fridge. Every fridge is calibrated a little differently, and I know that some are more humid then others. If I leave my cake in for a long time I will have a little bit of condensation form as it comes to room temp, but I also live in a very mild climate so it never really turns into an issue for me. If you live somewhere very hot and humid then it would probably cause far more problems then I've dealt with. The condensation just dries down and the cake is totally fine. I think the best thing to do is experiment with cakes that are not meant for orders and see what works best for you. You always want to avoid rapidly changing the temperature so try to move from chilled, to cool, to room temp. I think this is the best way to preserve your decorations etc. I know that probably is nothing you haven't heard already, apologies if that wasn't at all helpful!!
Rachel Goodrich I normally keep my house at around 21 degrees Celsius. Putting the cake in the fridge to firm up before adding the fondant really helps as well:)
Hi! I am planning to do something similar for my daighter’s cake Do you know how far in advance I can make the scales, along with how far in advance I can paint them with lust dust? Thank you! Just don’t think I could make all of this the morning before her party.
You could make/luster them a few days before for sure , fondant lasts a really long time so if you did it 2 or 3 days before it would be just fine! I would suggest keeping them in an airtight container before they've really dried solid as it is a bit easier to add them to the cake when they have a little flexibility, but it's not totally necessary!
Thank you! I wasn’t able to find teal or light purple fondant, so I was going to try to paint the white fondant with a mixture of luster dust and lemon extract. We will see how it goes! Good to know about the airtight container. Thank you very much for your help!
Sure! I’ll be happy to share. This will be my first attempt with fondant... so we will see! The party isn’t until Sept. 15 so it won’t br ready for a bit yet.
I buy mine from a cake store near me but its called Rolkem Super Gold Luster Dust and I know you can find it many places online depending on where you are:)
I am able to buy it from a store where I live (its not a chain store but a quick search for places around where you live should help). Its not regular drinking alcohol, but really any clear alcohol will work, I use just regular ol' vodka in a pinch. You can also you clear flavor extracts like vanilla.
I personally like to use the alcohol because it doesnt have a strong smell once it dries down, whereas the vanilla is very vanilla-y even after it dries. If you like the smell, no problemo, but I find it gives me headaches while im decorating so I avoid it.
Love, Love how you painted the fondant. It almost gave it an airbrushed look. I will be trying that. Really cute cake. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! :)
The 5 dislikes are probably other bakers who can’t do what she can 😂🎂

Thank you for watching! I used Teal by Wilton brand:)
Do you have to put the fondant on the cake or can you apply the scales directly to the crumb coat? Beautiful work! My daughter loves this!
Thank you so much:) You can for sure just add the scales right to the buttercream, just be careful of the buttercream seeping through the scales.
Awesome love it, looks delicious ☀️

You can try adding a little bit of tylose powder to your fondant to help it firm up and hold its shape 😊❤️
@@TheLovelyBaker Thank you Love! I appreciate it 💖
