Sudhakar, a 'Plant model' is any mathematical/Simulink model that includes the physics of what you are trying to simulation. An example could be an electric motor, with the resistance-inductance-backemf, etc. 'Plant' is just the general term used. To test a plant model you need to decide what you care about, whether that's power in/power out, forces, stability, etc.
